Came right when they opened on a Saturday. Everyone was really friendly, the atmosphere is cozy, and it's great to be able to see the people in the back making the baked goods. Iced latte was good and I got an assortment of pastries (croissants, danishes, muffins) and everything was absolutely delicious!
It's a bit pricey but good pastries always are since it's so hard to actually get them right
We will certainly be back!

Wonderful food! Our Airbnb was directly across from this great bakery so we came by twice during our stay. Get there early! Choices were dwindling by 10am. The food was so good but it was cold. We took it back to warm it up. That’s a consequence of the plague and outdoor service so I get it, just be prepared.

I travel to CHS often, and I never miss an opportunity to visit Browns. The line is worth it! The bagel bombs will make you rethink your life. The croissants are buttery yummy goodness to the last bite. The drinks are worth the wait and put everyone else to shame. Oh Browns, I LOVE you.

For breakfast this morning we had a blueberry muffin, egg and cheese biscuit, and cinnamon roll with coffees. The decaf had to be a latte, but it was delicious. We ordered from the side of the building where they are doing counter service only. They had a lot of offerings for being counter service only. They were also super quick! Awesome little gem in the residential district of downtown.

The food was absolutely amazing! Would highly suggest grabbing a chocolate croissant and a bagel bomb for a killer breakfast combo. The coffee is great as well! And lastly, the staff is super friendly and goes above and beyond. Even though many items were sold out, they recommended other items that were equally as great. Don’t forget to get to this place early if you want to snag any of the more speciality items. This will definitely be a go-to anytime I go to Charleston!!

Everything they make is great. Ordered the yule log off the holiday menu and its the best cake I have had in my entire life. It was so beautiful. The meringue mushrooms were so cute and delicious. The frosting was chocolate but not too sweet and the filling was a light vanilla cream. Absolutely delicious.

This will definitely be my daily go-to breakfast spot for the week I'm spending in Charleston! The bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich was amazing, at least in part because of the delicious roll that it's served on. You just have to get there early because they often sell out. I also love that they offer oat milk as a dairy alternative in their coffee drinks. For those who haven't tried it, it's considerably better than almond milk. The chocolate macaroon was also amazing!

Nice assortment of baked goods. The brie and fig Danish was wonderful. The cinnamon roll a little less so (the caramel added an unpleasant-to-me stickiness). The bear claw even less so (fairly unremarkable). Chocolate yeast based donut was tasty and so was the iced latte. I would come to try other things here.

If you're staying in the upper historic district, multiple trips to Brown's is a must. The food quality is so high and the young ladies are so helpful and nice. Even a plain croissant is amazingly tasty. It became a daily habit for me to make the short walk from King Street.

Seriously delicious baked goods!! Just try anything on the menu and make sure you get there early since they sell out fast. I got some flaky baked items with berries and the other one with chocolate. Nothing is overwhelmingly sweet, perfect balance.

This is the best croissant that I've had in a long while. The danishes looked fantastic, but I wanted to try a classic pastry and they blew it away. Just wow. It was so buttery, flakey, and perfectly cooked. Some of them looked a little over-proofed, but I certainly don't care. They tasted 10/10 regardless.

Amazing pizza! The wait time was pretty short; the prices were a little high but TOTALLY worth it. I tried the hot taco pizza (amazing) and my husband built his own. Hope to return in the future!

Great place for morning food, coffee, bagels, donuts, danishes, cookies. Everything I have gotten here was a hit no joke haven't had one bad thing to say. If you get there early you can beat the lines that mite be the only issue I see someone having buttatsit and they work very fast so it's not a big deal.

Came to Charleston for vacation and this place made all the difference. I ended up here 3 times in just a week and was extremely impressed with everything from the bake goods, the coffee, and the friendliness of the staff. Leaving SC. is going to be a huge downfall, but I'm so blessed to have stumbled upon this amazing, peaceful, and delicious destination. Brown's Court Bakery deserves way more stars than just 5. Thank you for making my stay in Charleston an amazing one.

I'm mixed in my thoughts. After seeing them on the Cooking Channel I was excited to find a place. After driving around for several minutes even after locating it on GPS I found it very difficult to park. I finally called them and ask them where can I park they did not really have a clear answer, needless to say parking is terrible. Then there are no ramps to help assist people in wheelchairs or scooters so I had to park my wheelchair and work my way up stairs... they did however offer to take me around back and go to through kitchen in order to have access into their shop.Once inside I was a little confused because there were no visible signs of the menus but a lot of delicious treats. I ended up ordering two different types of croissants ,a cookie, and a latte however when I got in my car I discovered they gave me the wrong ones. I specifically wanted a savory pastry. I did call and let them know and they offered me to come back inside and get another...find parking and hobble upstairs.... no thank you .Don't 't get me wrong the croissant was delicious ...the latte was nice and the cookie was yummy but I felt like I was more of a bother then a customer so....
