Muse Restaurant & Wine Bar

I've been to a lot of great restaurants across the country, but dining at Muse is more than just a good meal. The food was amazing... innovative and incredibly delicious. But what made the whole evening so great is that it was not just a good meal... I felt like I was having dinner at a friend's house and not a restaurant. Donnie is incredible but so is the whole wait staff... they are friendly and fun. Show up with a great attitude and you will leave with a smile on your face and you will want to tell your friends about the place.

A uniquely Charleston dining experience that isn't one of the bigger name restaurants. We were all impressed by the historic charm & impeccable service. One in our party even said it might have been the best meal they've ever had. Location is also 10/10, being in between the 2 best streets downtown--King St. & Meeting St. Only recommendation is for a vegan option or 2. I was able to get a vegan salad & appetizer by asking for no cheese/dairy, but they were lackluster.

Muse is located in a charming historical home on Society Street between King and Meeting. Definitely a must-go to place. The scallops with butternut squash risotto was prepared to perfection! The grilled calamari was tender and served with a spicy Italian diavolo sauce and the baked oysters were light and delicious!

Our dining experience at Muse was nothing short of extraordinary! We had a group of 8 for dinner to celebrate a special birthday, and were treated to an evening filled with excellent food and amazing service, courtesy of our outstanding server, Donnie. From the moment we stepped in to Muse, the charming space captivated us; however, what truly elevated our experience was Donnie's exceptional service - He was attentive, incredibly personable AND Fun!!! Donnie's professionalism shone throughout the evening. His recommendations were spot-on! Not only did he manage our large party seamlessly, but he also added charm that made the evening unforgettable. His enthusiasm for making the night extra special for our birthday girl made our experience something to be remembered! Muse and Donnie have set the bar incredibly high for what an exceptional dining experience should be. We cannot recommend this restaurant enough!!

Really amazing. Hidden down a side street in a beautiful house. Donnie was so welcoming. He asked us which liquors we each liked and made special drinks! Then he asked us what we liked to eat and brought out a bunch of dishes. The artichoke kale tart , duck, pastas, fish, desserts and amazing vino. Try this place but don’t tell anyone. Fantastic dinner.

Celebrated a big birthday here! The staff went all out and we had the most fabulous dinner experience we've had in a very long time. Savory elevated food and wine were next level! Our entire party felt like we were dining at our best friend's dinner table. Our next trip to Charleston will be planned around dining at the Muse!

We had a girls weekend in Charleston and selected Muse Restaurant & Wine Bar for Dinner on our last night. There was 9 of us and we all cannot say enough wonderful things about our evening. Hailey, the Hostess, was beyond patient, accommodating, and very pleasant. Our server, Erin, well let's just say she was spectacular!! Energetic, bubbly, hilarious and does a fantastic job at presenting the menu...spot on service by all! Donny, you have a wonderful restaurant and staff. We hope if we get back to Charleston, we will definitely visit Muse! Thank you for such a wonderful evening.

5 of us went to Muse for dinner on our girls trip to celebrate our friends 30th birthday. The food, drinks and atmosphere were fantastic! Donnie took care of us…. And when I say that I really mean it! He asked us each a few questions and brought out cocktails based on our responses. He then talked with us and we decided to go family style and let him pick our appetizers and entree dishes. We were not disappointed! Everything we ate was fantastic! We had so much food but getting to try a little bit of everything really was the perfect meal! He brought us out a bottle of wine he recommended with dinner. We finished with a dessert to share, their trifle and it was melt in your mouth amazing! We will be back and asking for Donnie again! I have been telling everyone I know to go!

If I could rate this 100 stars, I would. Brought some out of town friends (from Boston, so tough food critics!) to Muse and had the absolute best experience. Donnie learned our names, drink and food preferences, and made it feel as if we were guests in his home. He curated the menu for us and there was not a single bad bite, or sip. Some favorites were the duck, carbonara, artichoke torta, chicken and eggplant parm. But again, everything was fantastic. I’ve been to a lot of restaurants in Charleston and Muse has by far been the best experience.
