Had probably the best grits I've ever eaten! We ate from the breakfast part of the menu. My husband had the Huevos Rancheros and they were excellent. I had the Track breakfast. I would suggest to the owners to add hot tea on the menu as I am not a coffee drinker.
One of the best vegan experiences I've had here in Charleston! Not only do you have amazing vegan options (please NEVER remove them from the menu), my waitress Mikaela was even knowledge about veganism. Great friendly service for the whole family or date night. Thank you for offering vegan options!!!
I was walking in downtown Charleston and liked the name. It looked like a nice place for lunch. I was treated by the owner. He suggested their signature tomato soup. So I ordered tomato soup, a barbecue sandwich, and a wedge salad. It was delicious!
Beautifully prepared. The salad had fresh chives, hard boiled egg, bacon, cherry tomatoes, and the right amount of homemade dressing. I tipped and complimented the chef. Something is good should be recognized. Delicious!
While vacationing in Charleston, I found this amazing spot to dine at with my mother. The restaurant was small, but spacious. The booth we sat as was extremely comfortable and I loved the color scheme of the restaurant. The atmosphere was inviting and the service was superb! After a day of sightseeing in Charleston, I appreciated the fact that almost as soon as we sat down , they brought us some cool, refreshing water. It is not a vegan place, but has a few vegan options. Unfortunately, the vegan options were a la carte, but the prices of everything was reasonable so it wasn't a disappointment for me. Mom ordered the seafood platter and I ordered a vegan patty melt with fries and jackfruit sandwich to go. The patty melt was okay and the fries were pretty good. The jackfruit sandwich sent my taste buds on a willlldddd ride; it was DELICIOUS! My mom couldn't stop complimenting her meal. She was impressed with the presentation and the taste of her food. The servers were also very accommodating by allowing Mom to choose the side she desired instead of the one that came with the meal. If we're ever in Charleston again, The Rarebit will be on our list of places to dine.
Drinks were great. Food was delicious. The service was pretty quick. Unfortunately the appetizer came out right as the food did. Also, the air conditioner was broke for their entire building. So it was HOT AF. I was sweating. This really wasn't their fault I don't guess, but they did not mention it when we got there and sat down.
Gosh I like this place, Cool vibe with atmospheric music.
Had the okra side with Cajun remoulade as an appetizer and it was super tasty. We also shared the hand cut fries at the table. VERY sharable large portion. Wife had the beet salad and was very impressed too, definitely didn't skimp on the beets. My fried chicken was excellent, crispy and savory. Green beans tasted very fresh and the mashed potatoes and gravy were pure comfort food.
Prices were very reasonable and we almost passed this place by as it looked kinda fancy. All day breakfast was an unexpected surprise. We had the chicken and waffles and waffles at the table and they looked awesome too. Drinks were fun, had the Phil Collins with some big flavors as well as the seasonal Moscow mule with pomegranate.
Scrumptious!
My husband and I went here on our honeymoon for dinner before a comedy show and we were not disappointed!! Staff was very down to Earth, very clean establishment, fast service, peaceful atmosphere, great customer service, and the food was A-MAZ-ING!! Definitely made a special evening even better!! If you’re looking to eat in the area, please stop in!
Rogan makes the best Old Fashioned in Charleston! Go Rye
We sat at the bar for a late dinner and cocktails. The menu has some really great options and they have seasonal specials as well. Food came out quick and was delicious. We also ordered their famous (or should be, at least) Moscow mules. They are served on tap and served as a refreshing retreat from the Charleston humidity.
Service was personable and helpful, can’t wait to come back to this spot!
This was one of our stops during our culinary tour of upper King Street. The food was good and the service was friendly. We got to try the chicken and waffles and shrimp po boy, both of which were tasty. They’re known for their Moscow mules and we tried their seasonal mule and it was so good! Definitely worth the stop
Rarebit in Charleston is a true gem! This restaurant exceeded all my expectations with its charming atmosphere and delectable dishes. The menu offers a delightful array of options, each bursting with incredible flavors. The service was impeccable, making my dining experience even more enjoyable. Whether you're a local or a visitor, Rarebit is an absolute must-visit for a memorable culinary adventure.
Brunch was dynamite. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Bloody Mary was average but the waffles and pancakes were dynamite.
