Review The Park Cafe - Charleston

One of the highlights of my trip to Charleston! Loved the scallops and the ginger tequila cocktail. Our server Alex was so great and we even got to meet the owner Ruth. Loved all the plants and atmosphere of this place!

Wonderful place for Saturday brunch! I'm a big fan of shakshuka and they didn't disappoint. The shakshuka was flavorful and perfectly cooked, with the right balance of spices. My boyfriend ordered the fried chicken biscuit, which was amazingly breaded and seasoned. Our server (Sophie?) was super attentive and being especially kind to cork our bottle of champagne for us when we couldn't finish it. Her upbeat personality made our brunch experience truly enjoyable. Overall it's an ideal place to fuel up on the weekend with good food, drinks and artful ambiance. We can’t wait to come back!

Great brunch food and atmosphere. I had the crabs benedict and it was incredible. Nice amount of crab, big portions, perfectly poached eggs. Waitress was sweet, friendly, and patient. Everyone loved their meals. The only thing that wasn't great was their iced cold brew- it was a little watered down for me.

I had my second visit at Park &Grove and it was a fun as the first time! Their menu has a wide variety of selections for whatever your taste buds or eating preference may be. The seasonal selections are always a treat - we tried the grilled peaches over bite w/ arugula for an app as well as the escargot served over GRITS!!!!! OMG. Yes! The cocktail menu was fun - so we tried 3 different drinks. :) Finally, our server Maggie was the best. Attentive, kinda and had the greatest smile. Will be back for sure.

What a great neighborhood spot! Drinks and food are so good. Love the outdoor patio. I think on Tuesdays they have live music also which is always fun!

We had a wonderful meal at Park & Grove celebrating our friend’s son who recently completed his third year at the Citadel. The outdoor dining was very nice and they easily accommodated our gluten allergy. The Poplar cocktail was a crowd favorite! The large plates were delicious, but portions are not what I would consider as shareable.

By far my favorite restaurant in Charleston. All the food was so fresh and delicious! The farro salad, strawberry salad and focaccia were my favorites. The cavatelli and braised beef short rib were good as well. You can’t go wrong here- everything was perfect!

My daughter took me here for brunch after a theater event in Charleston, SC. It was amazing food. I had crab cakes with fried over easy eggs on top, topped with an incredible sauce. And champagne. Then we walked around Charleston

Food wise, this new version smokes Millers. Service is better, too. Worth the drive to Wagener Terrace if you’re a local. The stuff south of Spring just doesn’t care about anyone but tourists nowadays. I think this place can be your fix if you’ve been disappointed by others lately. Their breakfast is better than Millers, etc., their burger better than Butcher & Bee. Just come here, actually have somewhere to park, and have a better overall dining experience.

AMAZING! Visiting from Ohio for a wedding and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. ALL of the staff were so wonderful and food was amazing! Look forward to returning!

We had not been here for a few months, but we were blown away at everything we ordered (which was the majority of the menu). This was as good as any farm-to-table restaurants we've been to in Northern California, and it's right down the street from our home, which is so lucky. Our server was a little green from inexperience, but he made up for it with being exceptionally nice and positive. We will be going back much more frequently now that we know how great it is.

Beautiful restaurant, really nice and genuine server. I had the shakshuka which was amazing. Sometimes it can be a bit too rich but the dish was so well balanced. Definitely the best shakshuka I’ve had. Didn’t expect to have chickpeas in it but I wasn’t complaining!

James was great but so was everyone! It was really great teamwork there. If someone saw you had a need, they didn’t just walk by because you weren’t their customer. The food is seasonal so the menu changes but makes it easier if you have an allergy or need. I’m gluten free and there were several dishes I could eat. Super knowledgeable staff and good eats!

Stopped here for Sunday brunch and it was the perfect place for us. We got a corner round table since there was 7 of us. The Bloody Mary was amazing and a great start to the day. They had gluten free bread which was a dream come true because I was craving bread and yet cannot eat it. I enjoyed the lox and avocado. It was extremely fresh and delicious. Everyone got amazing food at the table as well. Our waitress Eden was also very sweet and kind and made the experience even better.

This place is a gem. We went for lunch and cannot recommend our experience enough. Excellent mocktails and the food was delicious. We had the croque madame and shakshouka, plus the Morning Dew mocktail

An amazing location, beautiful restaurant and a fun and boisterous brunch spot. I had the daily special, a soft shelled crab eggs benedict with English muffin. It was absolutely delicious, mouth watering and savoury. Decaf coffee was also outstanding. A somewhat hidden out of the way location (at least to tourists like us) but I highly recommend it to everyone. First rate, prompt and friendly service including menu choices and follow up.

Absolutely in love with the cocktails, food, decor and ambiance of this spot. Park & Grove is somewhere I would go any day of the week, and a place I plan to return to again and again. Their cuisine showcases the best of what's in season, with some of my favorite items being the Sea Scallops, Bucatini, Summer Salad and Grilled Peaches. I can't wait to go back for brunch! One of Charleston's top spots - FOR SURE!

Great farm-to-table vibe with beautiful indoor and outdoor space. The sole reason for the 4-stars, and not five, was the service. Our waiter was great and very nice, but do not plan on coming here if you are in a rush; this is your relaxed, chill type of dinner place. Now on to the good stuff! The drinks - get the cocktails. They’re beautifully made and delicious. The food - we started with the grilled shrimp entree for the table (there were 7 pieces, medium in size). The chimichurri sauce was the star of the dish (tad salty, but absolutely delicious). Yellowfin tuna- fantastic and great flavor. The piece was cooked a little more than I would have liked (would have preferred it more rare) but overall good quality fish. Roasted duck breast- great flavor (the skin could have been a bit crispier) NY strip- standard, nothing extraordinary Smashburger- eaten by a burger connoisseur, they said this is one of the best burgers they’ve ever had *chef’s kiss* Sides- grilled asparagus (the miso butter is to die for) and sugar snap peas (crunchy and delicious)

We came here for mimosas to cure a hangover and for some brunch. Did. It disappoint the gnocchi wutb fried egg on top was perfect not too heavy as gnocchi can be. We also got the creamy kale and house omelet were so great. I'd def recommend to anyone looking for quick furndh brunch

I was super unimpressed with my visit yesterday. The waitress seemed annoyed that we were there and my burger was basically raw even though I asked for medium well. Additionally, I was charged $1 for ice in my chai tea. Probably will not be coming back here again.

Thoroughly unimpressed with our breakfast this morning. Both our egg dishes were way over salted and the veggies were not seasonal except maybe for the carrots. Also the bacon tasted like just some mediocre Sysco bacon not from some local farmer or some great producer. Nothing special about this place.

I love this place creamy kale toast, the egg sandwich, the veggie mess = 100! The coffees are amazing. Their lunch is great too!

For the amount of times I've eaten here I still can't decide if I enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner the most. It's my default favorite place for just about any meal. Perfectly cooked food at a reasonable price all day every day.

Excellent restaurant with a great staff, I was very impressed with the food quantity and the taste was perfect, definitely return with family and friends but most of all the service was out of this world.

We stopped in while traveling from Moss Creek to Boston. The Holiday Inn express recommended them because they're Pet Friendly, we wanted lunch outside with 2 dogs! They were amazing! They provided us with a huge bowl of water for the dogs, a cold beer and great food!
Laura Lagonigro
Food was good, service can't complain; just a bit expensive! 2 breakfast and 2 mimosas for almost $50 seems a bit excessive, especially if you eat outside (basically in the parking lot on wooden benches) which we preferred to inside, where tables are packed together.
Christina Richardson
The waitress seemed extremely bored with her job and answered our questions qbout the menu with single words. On the verge of being rude. I am celiac and she wasn't much of a help trying to figure out the gluten free options. Not anything I would recommend.

Great little place off the beaten path. Not crowded and had the best almond butter honey grape toast.
