Best bbq I've ever had, everything in SC seems to have a mustard influence (sweet and tangy) in NC we favor more of a vinegar base style, with some spice. This place falls into it's own category! There's nothing on the menu that has disappointed! In fact, home team doesn't seem to cater to one type of bbq, all of their sauces are house made and there is something for everybody!!! The smoked wings are incredible, the pulled pork is a perfect mix of bark and moist smoked meat, the brisket is my FAVORITE!! Crisp flavorful bark on the outer side, perfectly moist smoked inside, and the legendary fat line in the middle! I've had great bbq, Charleston bbq scene has disappointed me, not this place though! Hands down the best bbq restaurant I've ever been too and it's just about the only thing I'll miss about Charleston when I return home to Charlotte after we are finished working down here! I'm spoiled with this food! West Ashley location is where I've became regular.

OMG...I had the pastrami sandwich, it was a perfect balance of pastrami, slaw and mustard. The pastrami was perfect, it was very tender and not overly smoked. I would recommend it to anyone!

Visiting a friend in the area and was brought to hometeam on a bbq craving. The "Board" was an incredible value and let you sample every smoked meat on the menu. Littered with pork rinds, grilled sourdough, pickles and onions it hit every spot. Turkey was insanely moist and the brisket was next level. Thank you Annie and Eric for treating us like family.

Always on point! Pulled BBQ is on point. And so is the mac and cheese!

I love this place so much. A buddy of mine took me awhile ago touting the "best wings ever", and was dead on. I haven't tried anything here that disappointed. The sides are all awesome (especially the collard greens), all the meats are fantastic, the atmosphere is great and the bar has a ton of good beer on tap. They generously donated to a fundraiser my business was having for West Ashley High recently as well. For a business with multiple locations, they definitely don't forget the little guys.

As an out of town guest, I stumbled upon this place. I asked about the wings; glad I did. They were awesome! Very friendly staff. I highly recommend Home Team BBQ!

We held an engagement party at the West Ashley location. It could not have been better. The food and the service were excellent. Catering Manager Amy was so good to work with particularly since I am 5 hours away. Will definitely go back when we are in Charleston.

We love this place! Great barbecue! We tried the wings for the first time, smoked dry rubbed and dipped in white Alabama sauce, soooo good! Wings and barbecue from here on out!

I am from South Florida and I was up there 2 weeks ago visiting my sister in law and she took us there for dinner. And there pulled pork blew me out of the water......tasted like butter. I did not have to chew it at all! It was soooooo good. And there ice tea was very very good too. And I rate restaurants by there ice teas . And it was so good! When we are back there to visit my sister in law again...we will be back!

Wow! Absolutely the best BBQ my wife and I have ever had. Goodness gracious wether it was the ribs, pulled pork, brisket, chicken, Mac and cheese and even the pickles are absolutely Fire. The sauces they have are different from one another and tasty. The meat (important part) was all cooked to perfection. Moist, tender and crispy caramelized flavor packed bits. The service was excellent as well. Home Team is our spot now for BBQ. Our absolute heavy weight champ! Nice work HT BBQ!!!

GREAT food. Great atmosphere. Service is good, but not great. Reason is that I ordered the chips n cheese plate and it was huge. Perfect for two, three, maybe four people, but it was just myself. Come to find out that they offer a single portion size..not on the menu..that Should have been suggested to me. Other than that mishap, I was very happy with my experience.

Great BBQ. I visited the other recommended bbq places as well in Charleston but I have to say Home Team has been the best. I came with my daughter and we loved the chicken wings and of coarse the ribs where excellent. I also like the actually restaurant as a venue and design best. We will return.

Home Team is my go-to crave spot. Those smoked chicken wings are the BEST in Charleston, and the Alabama white sauce is to die for. The Home Team salad is heaven, btw. The GameChanger is a can't miss adult beverage!

The place is very cool and the service was great. The food on the other hand left a lot to be desired for me. My dad got the turkey wrap which he said was very good but I got the 3 meat plate and not all of it was worth it. The 3 meat plate I got was pulled chicken, a cheddar jalapeño sausage, and sliced brisket and for my sides I got mac and cheese and hash and rice. The pulled chicken and the sausage were both very good especially with their great sauces that they make but the brisket was kind of hard to eat which made it disappointing, essentially considering I paid extra for it. The sides were pretty good although the hash and rice was better than the mac and cheese for me. Overall worth the visit if you like southern food but I recommend not getting the brisket.

Now these were some very tasty ribs. The sweet sauce was incredible, I could have just had a bunch of that too. Great potatoe salad as well. The wings were good but a little dry for my liking. The bartender Branden was very nice as well. Food came out pretty quickly. Great area of mount pleasant, would love to see it during the day.

Good BBQ spot overall. I ordered the wings on a recommendation and felt they were over hyped. The Ribs and Sliders were above average. I enjoyed the sauce variety and atmosphere.

We've been here so many different times and today we ate a quick lunch and the food came so fast. My hubs got the pull pork sandwich with a side of brunswick stew and I had brisket taco and very salty birria taco. Overall was a good lunch despite the very salty birria taco.

Read good things about Home Team and decided to give it a try. Definitely has more of a sports bar vibe to it as there are TVs everywhere, but that isn't a negative at all. Just want people to take that into consideration if they were thinking of coming to Home Team. Ordered 2 meats combo with Brisket and Pulled Pork. I got the Collards and Mac n cheese for sides. All their food was great. They have 6 sauces on the table as well. The standout sauce was the mustard based sauce. Definitely recommend

This is the third different location we have been to. They all have been good. Service here was good and the food came out fast. I had the Mi Amigo minus the black beans. It was the biggest wrap I’ve ever eaten… stuffed with pulled pork, cheese, rice, cabbage, sour cream, guacamole and salsa for an abundance of flavor in each bite. Highly recommended. We also had the fiery burger. The harissa mayo added just enough spice to give the two patty burger a kick without being “hot”.

The food was amazing. The nachos and wings were our favorites. The brisket was so juicy and the pulled pork was seasoned very well. The overall service and staff was commendable.

Swing by tonight to grab dinner to go. My husband and I both had the "mi amigo" burrito with pulled pork on it and a side of mac & cheese. The burrito is HUGE. The mac & cheese is literally the greatest thing in the world. Like creamy, delicious, heaven. Better than grandmas. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. I will say, our total would have been $38 including a tip (we had a $25 gift card which was the best thing). That is pretty expensive, even for a big ol' burrito. Their food is great, but the prices aren't

We had Thanksgiving catered this year. We were down from michigan to host Thanksgiving with my sailor. I've worked in kitchens most of my life and spent two years in culinary school. I have high food standards and the food was delicious! The Mac and cheese was super creamy! Worth every penny! Next time we're down we will deffinitly be eating here again!

Great food, pretty solid service, but a little pricey (barbecue tends to be). Didn't have an option for collard greens on recommendations, but they are solid! Not too salty, not to soft, deep flavor. Also, not a insult, but wish they would toss a few more pork rinds on the plate, they are fantastic!

After researching BBQ spots in the area, we decided to give this place a shot. So good! We ordered a bit of everything and split it between us. We ordered ribs, the brisket taco, carnitas taco, wings, mac and cheese, collard greens, cucumber and tomato salad, all the sauces, and finally a frozen Irish coffee. Everything, including the service, was fantastic. Can't wait to go back!
