We happen to find this place by mistake walking by looking for another place to eat. We decided to try it out since we had been craving some southern food anyway. We are so glad we did. We walked in and were greeted by the owner who sat and chatted with us to tell us her story and how the restaurant came to be. She is so friendly and welcoming we just fell in love with the place. When we got our food we were blown away on the quantity and quality. The blackened chicken and the pecan crusted fried chicken are incredible. We wound up splitting our meals just so we can each enjoy a piece of each. The cornbread is excellent and so are the deserts. I beg you to try this place and enjoy a friendly, down home atmosphere.

YUM AND YUM AND YUM!!! Don’t let the line scare you. Go in and have them tell you to sit and wait - it’s so worth it! A great home cooking place! So sorry we didn’t save room for dessert! This restaurant does a great job with home cooked southern food! Had the very delicious fried chicken and fried pork chop. We had the house wine to wash it all down! What a great place! Felt like I was have a really AMAZING home cooked dinner in my great-grandmother’s cozy nook off the kitchen! We had AWESOME service from Mallory and enjoyed Ann’s sassy and friendly attention! Don’t miss this place in Charleston!!! Sweet cucumbers, red wine, fried chicken with fried corn on the cob and greens plus fried pork chops with gravy and greens and red rice!

This is a comfy little place. Don't be surprised if you have to wait a bit to grab a table. The service was pretty good here. One of my friend's food was undercooked, so he had to send it back. My fried chicken was pretty good; it was pretty moist. The fried tomatoes tasted really good, as well. The atmosphere was very relaxed. The prices were fair, too. It's worth checking out.

Nice place to eat. The food was delicious. Would definitely eat here again. The service was friendly and prompt. Did not once see the bottom of my glass. (I'm a simple man😉)

We enjoyed everything here! Our kids love the corn and fried chicken. Food was very delicious. Their food are already famous so you can order anything and you wont be disappointed. The big plus for us was that the staffs are very friendly and very helpful when they see our kids and the stroller. They also brought out some toys for my boy to play! We will visit again.

We tried this place for lunch today. Went for the fried chicken with fried okra, mashed potatoes and gravy, okra gumbo, and green beans. My potatoes were a little cold, but still good. Chicken was fabulous especially with some hot sauce added. Fried okra was crispy without being greasy and tasted more crisp than soggy, some of the best I’ve had. Corn bread was a little dry for my taste.

Super delicious and quick Southern food. We all got the fried chicken and it was probably the best I've ever had. My boyfriend got mac and cheese and mashed potatoes as sides and raved about them. Split the lemon custard pie...amazing!

This place is always busy so be prepared to wait. However the wait isn't too bad and the service is pretty quick. The restaurant has a homey feel and is quite small. I got a oyster po boy with coleslaw and fried okra which was pretty good.Their whitened fish and meatloaf was tasty too.
