Considering O-ku is somewhat of a chain, the food is pretty good! I’ve had better sushi but this sushi is still super good! I go to the O-ku in raleigh, nc sometimes as well!

Some of the best sushi I have had in many years. The Beef Tartar was very tender and was paired with sliced avocado and diced apple which made an awesome combo. All the sushi rolls we had were excellent but out of all of them I could whole heartily recommend the Surf n Turf roll. The steak on top was well seasoned and rare, and the crab in the middle was a nice pairing. As a side note, the bar is very capable. The Old Fashioneds I ordered were made brilliantly. Props to Tyler for being an excellent.

On a weekend getaway I booked a reservation here for Saturday night because I figured by that point we would be ready for something other than shrimp and grits. We definitely were, and this place didn’t disappoint! We were originally seated beside a very loud group. I asked the hostess to move us and she very kindly obliged (and didn’t make me feel ridiculous for asking). We had the spring rolls for an appetizer and WOW they are wild - not at all what you would expect. Differently delicious in an amazing way. Our sushi rolls were also great. Our server Laura was efficient yet friendly. This place is a bit loud and scene-y but I think that’s the point - and anyway the food is amazing! If you’re looking for a change from the usual Charleston fare, definitely give this place a visit.

Some the best sushi I have ever had. The presentation and the beauty of the sushi was spectacular. The atmosphere was like nothing I have ever experienced in Charleston, it like I was transported to the middle of the busy city of New York. Overall 10/10!

Excellent food and service. Bella was awesome. It was my first time eating here and I will be back. Ordered the 2 of Potato Rolls, Tokyo Wings, Rock Shrimp Salad, Honey-Ginger Chicken and Fried rice. Since it was our first time dining they gave us an appetizer on the house: Waygu Tataki. We also ordered cocktails as well - Dockside & Basil Berry Lemonade. Everything was delish! The vibe, decor and music was everything. I would recommend this spot for a cute date night — you won’t be disappointed.

Found a sushi gem on King Street! This restaurant has a great atmosphere and is very clean. The sushi is phenomenal! Super fresh with wonderful flavor. There is okay sushi, good sushi and excellent sushi and this is definitely a top two all time best sushi we’ve had! Kyleigh was our server and she was excellent as well, thank you Kyleigh. Well done! We also had the pleasant surprise with Happy Hour having the rolls we had planned on trying. The Firecracker roll is amazing. All rolls we tried were great! A definite winner for sushi in Charleston.

Great happy hour menu and gluten free options! They substitute real snow crab for the imitation crab to make the California rolls gluten free. I love the atmosphere too!

Arguably best sushi in Charleston and if you can go during happy hour, some of their rolls and starters are half off (M-W-F, 5-7). Surprisingly the wings were one of the best dishes we had. Great aesthetic and wonderful staff.

Favorite place to eat sushi in Charleston! We love sitting at the sushi bar and watching the chef work their sushi magic. Favorite dish is the salmon lemon roll and the scallop crudo, although everything is absolutely delicious! Will return over and over again!

Met with friends at Oku for happy hour. It was a great time with tasty drinks and I got to experience their Chef’s Tasting menu as well. The selection from them is diverse and it was exciting to pair them with Sake drink flights. For an appetizer we ordered their Dim Sum, wings, and dumplings. The flavors they achieved were unreal! The sushi experience here is top-notch. Salmon nigiri is off the charts with how delicious it was. Our serve was sweet and she made sure we didn’t want for anything. The expert preparation and presentation shines through. The vibe inside feels upscale. This dining journey is phenomenal with quality ingredients that make for a wonderful experience
