An exceptional experience in every way. Cocktails were fantastic, food was superb, and service was warm and inviting.
I was very excited to find vegan collard greens on the menu. I’m a pescatarian, and they’re so hard to find without bacon or ham involved. But the highlight was the striped bass, which was cooked to perfection.
Tip: Happy hour from 5-7 was quite good, with half off many wines, drinks, and starters.

Angela and I had a fabulous time here! Staff worked well together. Manager even jumped in when needed and Zack was very knowledgeable not only about drinks but also about the food down to the detail. You wont have a question to ask. Very friendly with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Some of the best food we ever had. My steak was exceptional and my wife loved her burger. I was sorry i even asked for ketchup for my fries. Compliments to the Chef. 10 out of 10! Highly recommended!

Visiting Charleston for the first time and we came to The Macintosh. Mary-Catherine was our server and she was amazing. Well versed in her knowledge and love of the food on the menu. Jacob, the head chef, runs a tight kitchen and the food coming out was superb! Julie the manager visited our groups table multiple times always making sure all was well. If you're a foodie, or just simply love a great meal you'll definitely want to hit up The Mac!!

Exceptionally good - from the lighter than air corn beignets, to the heirloom tomato salad with delicious juices I sopped up with a beignet, and gnudi with peas and crabcake. The pinot gris by the glass was well chilled, service was attentive and not rushed. I was pleasantly surprised when I stopped by the open kitchen window to give my compliments to the chef personally, and was thanked by a smiling black woman. A great experience all around.

The beans and bacon were mind blowing, wreckfish was like yum and can I have some more please. Go with a Witchdoctor drink with a buzz button. Changes your taste with every sip 😊😀🤗

If I lived anywhere near this restaurant, I'd find a way to get in here weekly for the bone marrow bread pudding. That has to be one of the best dishes I've ever had. I guess it's a good thing I'm not local, however, because I'd definitely be over-weight and at risk of a heart attack. I ordered the burger and it was cooked perfectly. The toppings were fresh and flavorful - it was exactly what I was looking for. My wife ordered the striped bass and it looked delicious - skin was crispy and the fish was cooked perfectly. I'd definitely recommend trying this place.

We love this place! Amazing brunch, cool atmosphere, great place for any occasion. We don't usually venture too far with our drinks but we tried their "witch doctor" and it was amazing. Very unique and it has a flower you nibble that numbs your mouth! Amazing!

The food was excellent. I had the scallops and sweetbreads, both were awesome. The service is excellent and friendly. If you want to over-indulge get the peanut butter cup. I had no regrets!

We were looking for a delicious dinner and the recommended one had a private party.
Spontaneously we decided to enter The Macintosh.
After consultation of the very good menu with very friendly explanations from the service guy, We ordered the Porterhouse Steak with a House Salad and a bottle of Italian Chianti.
Just one word: Wow! Awesome what for a 30oz Steak in which quality. Medium red served as ordered with salads and creamy mushed potatoes.
It was a very good evening with outstanding service and quality. I would highly recommend an evening there.

The best place we've eaten in Charleston! The server really made the experience top notch by passionately explaining every dish and the food was absolutely incredible! The peanut butter cup dessert was the most incredible dessert! Wish I had this restaurant in S FLorida, we'd be there all the time!

As a chef and a lover of great food...Macintosh blew me away! I went to Charleston to eat great food and to be inspired..Macintosh fit the bill.
The leek appetizer alone was worth the trip. The country ham and dashi broth with beef belly was full of flavor and delicious.
Great thanks to Meredith and Sous Chef Harley for making us feel like we were at our local place. Ian made us great drinks and made two ladies feel comfortable at the bar!
A perfect place to relax, unwind and eat delicious food!

Such a neat restaurant. They have a different menu everyday. We were impressed with the duck dish that we had, as well as the AHHHmazing truffle fries. The pork dish was a bit dry, but was partnered with great flavors. Shawn (spelling?) was our waiter and the service was perfect! His recommendations were awesome. Overall, great restaurant.

I am gluten free and they took such care in making sure that my meal was safe and there was no cross-contamination. Our waiter took his time in discribing each menu item and how they could change it to be GF if possible. Our meals were beyond what we expected! I will come here any time we come to visit Charleston. I will recommend it to all my friends as well!

Service was impeccable. Bacon happy hour accommodated me, since I have very bad knees, can't sit at the bar. Had Pork cheesesteak, absolutely mouth watering. Had grits, mushrooms, seasonal veggies for entree. Veggies cooked to perfectIon, carrots, greens, parsnips, potato, turnip in buttery deliciousness. Shawn was our waiter, very attentive. If i lived in Charleston, I would be broke, have to eat here often.

Probably some of the finest dining in Charleston, which is saying a lot. The Deckle was one of the most excellent pieces of meat I've ever eaten. The upper King St location and the decadent atmosphere keep the hip factor high.
