Leyla Fine Lebanese Cuisine

We stumbled across this family eatery as we walked down King Street: What a Treasure! We just returned from a trip to the Eastern Mediterranean last month, and opine this food was better. The Tabouleh was some of the best we’ve had. The service - all family members - was genuine and warm. Make your reservation!

The evening was perfection for my friends and me! The staff was so friendly and professional although we butchered some names they were good sports. We started off with drinks and cheese appetizer. All 4 of us had different entrees and shared and they were ALL so delicious and beyond my expectation. We ended with Lebonese coffee & shared 2 desserts they impressed us all. I will definitely be back to try some more!

beautiful restaurant with a warm yet elegant atmosphere and lovely soft lighting! amazing food, fresh and made with such love and care. the menu is superb and i appreciate that the vegan friendly selections are marked clearly. i love everything we’ve eaten here and we returned multiple times on our visit to charleston because it was the best restaurant we ate at our entire trip! wonderful staff and excellent service as well. thank you!

My first time here and boy was it an awesome experience. The appetizers, drinks, main courses and of course the desserts were incredible. The best bar tender and waiters around. We even met the owner Dolly who is an absolutely amazing cook and person. All the recipes in their menu are all hers. I will be back and I will share my opinion of this 5 Star family owned and run establishment.

Leyla is a hidden gem in Charleston's dining scene. The food is absolutely delicious, the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Dolley, DANNY, MIKE, and BROOK made me feel at home with family on my first night traveling from Texas I started my meal with the hummus and lebne, which were both perfectly creamy and flavorful. For my main course, I had the beef tenderloin kebab, which was fall-off-the-bone tender and cooked to perfection. The accompanying bismati rice were also cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I escaped baklava, which looked flaky and sweet. Calorie counting. The service at Leyla was excellent. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. He was also very attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed. The atmosphere at Leyla is warm and inviting. The restaurant is decorated in a traditional Lebanese style, with colorful tiles and intricate woodwork. There is also a beautiful outdoor patio. Overall, I had an amazing experience at Leyla. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was wonderful. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Charleston. Absolutely the best restaurant experience I’ve had in a very long time. The owner (I’m assuming) was so accommodating with us and our kids (2 and 4). It was a very nice atmosphere but they let us sit in the back so we would disturb anyone. They brought a basket of toys for the kids and kept checking in on us. The wait staff were so knowledgeable and the food was phenomenal. We had 5 different entrees and several appetizers, they were all delicious! I can’t rave enough about this experience and the exceptional service we received!
