I love the in-store options/daily preprepared food, and their entertaining a la carte service is outstanding (simple to place order, great value, beautiful presentation)

We were in town to visit family and went to this neighborhood bakery and café for some lunch. They have a wide selection of pastries, cakes, nuts, gift sets, and also a menu to order food to eat there or to take out like we did. We had some sandwiches made and they were very good. We also got some baked good, especially babkas and they were just OK. It's a nice place, staff is helpful, and the have nice presentation of their baked goods and cake. They also have frozen good and soups to take home. Given how good everything looked, we had higher expectations for the baked good we got, but they were only OK. But, the sandwiches were very good and we would try it again when we're back in town.

I'm not sure why this place has three dollar-signs on Google—it's less expensive (and better!) than the Starbucks down the street! I got a nice slice of quiche Lorraine, a large iced coffee, and a very cute bumblebee cookie, all for $10 and change. At Starbucks the coffee and cookie alone would've been more than $10, so yeah, I'm not sure why Google thinks this place is “$$$” I was served by Marcia, who was very nice, by the way. While I was there, another employee—a young Latino man—was getting berated by some ‘Karen’ (my words) over the number of sweet'n lows in her coffee, and he kept his composure and remained polite the whole time. I just wanted to give these fine people a shout-out!

Good food but very EXPENSIVE. For such an expensive place you have to ask for sugar, straw, napkin and plastic forks & knife.

Susan Lawrence catered a tea party for my delayed bridal shower this past weekend. We got a variety of food, which was wonderful! We regularly get cakes from here as they are so great but they really went above and beyond in designing this tea cup cake. This cake was not only beautiful but delicious. It is worth mentioning that it was 91 degrees and we are over 20 minutes from Susan Lawrence so we were worried that the cake would melt- but they put such care into creating the cake and ensuring that it got to our house just fine! Thank you so much!!

I know there are great things in Chappaqua besides the fact that the Clintons live there :) . But this place is definitely one of the great things about Chappaqua. The place, the people, and the pastries are absolutely wonderful. While there my first time, I met this wonderful woman who kind of walked me through everything there. No wonder she has been in the area for decades and loves Susan's. Needless to say I also met this toddler and her mom, sweet people. The point is, there is more than just pastries at Susan's. If you're ever in the area, you MUST try this place out. I highly recommend you do so. I know I'll definitely stop by the next time I'm in the area. Keep it up, #Susan Lawrence.
