Farren's is a staple of downtown Champaign, and their burgers are pretty darn hard to beat! Amazing fries too. Has been one of my favorite spots for 10+ years.

Fun place and pleasant staff. Burgers were kinda dry but they were nicely dressed. Some of the sweet potato fries were room temperature. That being said everyone seemed to enjoy our food. The blue cheese dressing was phenomenal. I would definitely come back if I get to the area.

This review is largely based on my wife and I am vegetarians. I'm the past, Farren's was a bit of an afterthought for us as your only option was to replace the meat burger with a Boca burger, which didn't really seem worth it. They have since stepped up their game and offer a much better (I believe house made) black been burger or vegetarian chicken cutlet. Overall the food was really delicious as we're the drinks.
A special shout out to the wait staff who made perfect drink suggestions and even made sure the bun was gluten free for my wife, even though we forgot to ask.
Will definitely go back.

Our family of four really enjoyed our meal here. The food was good and the servers were super attentive. They also had a variety of items that the vegetarian in our family could choose from. My only disappointment is that we were eating dinner pretty early. It was not busy yet and they didn't have the dining room open so we had to sit in the bar. I really wanted to sit in the pretty dining room. The next time we are in town, we'll have to go in a bit later!

Went in here last week with my partner and had an amazing experience. The food was great but I think the best part was our server Sage who just did a phenomenal job! She talked to us about our relationship and interest and we were both having an okay day when we arrived until her smile and kindness made me and my boyfriend smile and have a much better day. She makes a genuine commitment to each of her tables and checked on us multiple times. Whoever signs her checks give her a raise! Great food and awesome staff with sweet execution! Truly a Champaign staple!

If I could give Farrens 100 stars, I would. My husband and I held our wedding reception at Farrens and everything was incredible. Carolyn (the owner) was so accommodating and flexible. She eased all of our concerns and even when we had a tight budget she was willing to work with us. When we were able to expand our budget, she offered helpful suggestions and even organized a dessert bar for our guests. They helped us in the set up and tear down of our decorations, and even kept our leftover desserts in their fridge so we didn’t have to take them to our hotel.
Carolyn’s staff are also incredible and our guests were super impressed with them. (Shout out to Hannah, Maddy, and Gretchen!) The food was amazing and staff was able to offer great suggestions to guests who couldn’t decide.
The space is beautiful and I could NOT believe what an underrated place it is for a reception. The hardwood floors, brick walls, and marble tables are amazing and all of the plants make it so you hardly need anything to make it feel special.
I could go on and on, but if you’re considering Farren’s for your wedding or other event, just know you’re picking the right place. I had several guests tell me that they couldn’t imagine a better reception!

Went to Farrens for first time on a Saturday evening. About a 20 minute wait but plenty of space at bar. We got the nachos and grilled chicken sandwich. Food was decent for the price but our friend got the ahi tacos which were absolutely amazing. Atmosphere and Terry and crew, (staff), really make the establishment. Super friendly and accommodating.

We were in the mood for good burgers for lunch and heard this place had the best. They did not disappoint. I had the spicy one with the ghost pepper cheese and it was great. My wife had one with mushrooms that looked very tasty. She enjoyed it a lot. Interestingly the table next to us came in and ordered the exact same burgers, so I think we may have made the right choice! My kid loved her chicken strips as well and the cheese curds were great. Awesome food experience.

It was a wonderful place with good drinks and nice burgers. The staff was amazing with such nice and courteous behaviour. Felt just so homely. Will love to visit again and again.
