Food was good. Getting seated was a little confusing during a busy Saturday lunch. After that the food was good and service was kind. They checked in at appropriate times. They were helpful and not rushed for how busy it was. Nice place.

The food is great but the service and attitude can be a little harsh. The food prices on their website continue to offer prices that don't match up with the menu in the diner. For example the big 8 only offers two eggs but the website has not been updated in over a year.

The staff make you feel like family. Polite and knowledgeable about the menu. Food is awesome and very consistent in taste and serving size.

Went for the first time and the food was soooo delicious!! Looks like an older house converted into a diner and was a bit crowded, tables are very close to each other, but it wasn't terrible. Service was good and prices weren't bad, especially for the portion they give. Seemed to draw an older crowd lol but that is ok too! Definitely returning

I have a gluten allergy and they wouldn’t let me substitute the biscuit or toast that came with my meal for a cup of fruit or $1 banana. What ever happened to southern hospitality? Food was good but it’s not that challenging to make bacon, eggs, and hash browns. The service and warm vibe is what makes these diners special, and I didn’t feel that here.

This place is just ok. Biscuits were dry Grits were cold...I could tell cause I asked for cheese grits and they just put shredded cheese on the bottom and top of the cup and none was melted. Bacon and pancakes were delicious tho. Cheap prices friendly service they also serve beer and wine. Comparable to waffle house but a little classier.

Best place for breakfast! The Lox and onion omlette is my favorite. My kids love the silver dollar pancakes. My husband loves the French toast. Morning wait staff is far superior to evening but we've never had a bad experience there. The food always comes out fast and delicious!!!

This is my secret getaway near work and I feel happy here! The Eggs Florentine, Eggs Benedict and gyro are all excellent. However my sweet potato fries this time were old, not freshly cooked and it showed. The staff is extremely friendly but the decor is rough and needs updating badly, inside and out. Still a great find, though, and I will continue coming here. I haven't tried any of the delectable-looking desserts yet. :)

You can find the Galaxy Diner at 3320 Henderson Mill Rd, Atlanta, GA 30341 - the is the back side of the Embry Hills Shopping center anchored by Kroger so Galaxy faces Henderson Mill Rd. I've been coming to the Galaxy Diner for many, many years - it's close to where I live and it seems to be a favorite spot on weekends from my Northcrest neighbors. The restaurant is clean and the service is very good, with a really knowledgeable and accommodating staff.

Love it!. I love the Galaxy Diner. I eat there all the time--about 3 times a week. The food is really good and the atmosphere is great. It's a family owned place and the owner is always there. I've gotten to know him and the staff over the years and they greet me by my first name when I come in. Because it's a diner, they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner all day. They have daily specials and Tuesdays are Mexican day and Saturday is Steak Night. Yum! They have Matzo Ball soup every day and it's so good. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Good food. This place is great for a quick, cheap bite to eat. Their menu is rather extensive for a diner, and they serve breakfast all day. I haven't had anything that I didn't like, but at the same time the food won't blow you away. The place is pretty clean and the staff and owner are friendly. They also have a nice outdoor dining patio. One neat thing about the place is that every first saturday of the month they have a mini car show in the parking lot.

Go there at least 3 times a month.. I enjoy Galaxy Diner.. the staff is nice (And cute) and the owner is always there and shows that he cares about what he sells and how he sells it. He is friendly to the regulars and the old folks... The food is good and quick and priced right. The only thing I would change is the Fries... Better fries and that place is a 10 out of 10 in my book.

Out of this World Dining Experience. There are reports here at UrbanSpoon that the Galaxy Diner is closed. Well, I find that interesting considering the fact that I am sitting at my laptop at my "Office" in the Galaxy Diner.

I am a regular and have been for over four years since the Diner opened. I have never had a bad experience at the Diner except for when I locked my keys in the car and decided to walk home.

The diner is like walking into someone's home. You are greeted warmly and the staff from the waitresses to the kitchen staff are always smiling and enjoy working for the diner. There is Maria, Joanne, Amanda, Michelle, Tonya and Misty. They are friendly more than you can imagine.

The food goes with the great service. You definitely get your money's worth. There are great steaks and all the trimmings (and this comes from one who is not a steak enthusiast). There is great desserts from pies to extravagant cakes and ice cream and milk shakes to eclairs.

The breakfast menu is great too. Breakfast is served all day until closing. My favorite is the freshly baked biscuit (which is as large as a meteorite) with the sausage gravy. The French Toast reminds me of my late mother's, made from freshly baked Chalah bread.

One of my favorites is Tuesday night, Mexican night. The food is fantastic. There is also the all-you-can eat catfish.

For an out of this world experience, visit Roy's Galaxy Diner. From the spring through early fall, there are car shows on the First Saturday of each month. These are a big hit.

So, rev up your rocket engines and set in a course for Roy's Galaxy Finer. No need to dress up, this is a casual diner. Leave your space suits at the door.

Good consistent food.. This place is not closed. The food is good and the service is exceptional. I eat here all the time and the place is loaded with regulars. They obviously are doing something right. There are daily specials which are all good but my favorite is the cajun chicken pasta. Keep up the good work guys.

This typical greasy spoon is still open, not sure why UrbanSpoon is saying otherwise. Only complaint, everything is under-seasoned, ...but salt is on the table.
Coop
Awesome 16oz hotdog w/ kraut and mustard. Be sure and tell them not to put the bun on the grill, or it will be very greasy.

I spied the Galaxy Diner a couple of weeks ago and finally got the chance to try it. It's on Chamblee-Tucker Road just north of I-285. The interior is very homey. The big feature is the huge collection of car photos, which were taken during their Saturday night car rallies. (That sounds like a fun activity...) The food is classic diner; I had the turkey dinner. What I really enjoyed about the Galaxy was the warm and friendly service. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful; the owner even came over to say hello and adjust a fan. As with all real diners, their dessert selection is vast with huge portions. I tried the devil's food cake and was very happy. 0 comments: Post a Comment
