Hometown Restaurant

Came to visit because of so many good reviews. Interesting interior that has live edge interior siding, Asian influence with marvel comic pictures on moist walls. Service was fast, friendly and attentive. Ordered meat loaf lunch with mashed potatoes w/ gravy and green beans. Wife had fish and chips w/slaw that i sampled. The meatloaf was made on site with frozen vegetables, mashed potatoes were also made from scratch. Gravy was not made on site but tasted OK. Canned green beans were recooked. Overall, it was a fair meal. The fish was cod and frozen portions fried well. The chips were cooked twice and slightly under fried. The slaw was wet and unremarkable. The tartar sauce was runny and tasted a bit like ranch dressing with pickles. Floors in both the main seating area and bathroom was dirty.

Drove down when we were at the Great Wolf Lodge because it looked like a nice local Hometown Family Restaurant similar to one I lost to coronavirus shutting down just like the title said. It delivers. Prices were reasonable food was decent. Only reason dropped to 4 is because I did not like the biscuits and gravy. Everyone has their own tastes you might love them but it only got a four this time. Everything else was fine and the service was good.

Good food, reasonable prices. We have always gotten our food to go. The staff has always been very friendly. I'm disabled and can slip very easily on ice. This winter, there was ice in the ground and I didn't think I could make it in safely to pick up pyre order. I called in and one of the nice employees brought the food out to me, took my payment, and brought back the card and receipt. I am very thankful for their pleasant and helpful staff.

Even though I've lived near Centralia for 18 years, I'd never eaten here. A friend and I stopped for breakfast and were pleased with our entire experience. It was busy but not crowded at 11 am. Quick service, pleasant staff. The food was really good and the prices were very reasonable. In it's a hidden gem and we'll be back!
