Pauluke's Grill

The food was delicious and the staff was warm and inviting towards there guest. But all of that went out the door at the end of my visit. When it was time for me and my family to leave after we finished our dinner, I noticed that my server was cleaning off tables, cashing out customers, etc. In between doing that, she was taking 2 slices of white bread from a loaf of bread and placing them into individual sandwich bags with her bare hands. It must be a common practice for them not to use gloves because no one said anything to her about not having gloves on while touching food. The food was good and everyone was nice, but after witnessing that, my stomach turned and I had regretted that I had even eaten there. Witnessing that shows poor food handling and hygiene practices and for that reason, I have to give a low rating and my family and I will not be returning. I hate to do so because I've been going to Paul Lukes for a couple of years now. My concern is that if the server is openly doing that, what are they doing in the areas that customers aren't privied to see what's going on with their food?

I will not be returning to this restaurant. One overwhelmed waitress served our salads after the dinner. My liver & onions was dry & burnt. George's chicken parmesan came with NO CHEESE of any kind on it. We complained to the waitress and she apologized for the salad. The so called Owner/Cook should have addressed the issue but looked like he could care less.

I'm loving this Tuesday special - New Yorker Burger (cheese, corn beef, Cole slaw and burger patties with 1000 Island dress) and stuff pepper soup. Yummy! Every meal here is on time, on budget, and enjoyable. Service is attentive too but not over the top to where it would be seen as awkward and uncomfortable. They get it! They pay attention! I like that! Can't post a picture but trying too. C'mon google add this feature.
