This was my second time to Tender. The moist brisket is perfect, It may be the best in DFW. For sides we had the mac and cheese which was very tasty with firm elbows , also enjoyed the slaw and the best beans this side of Kansas City. We sat outside on the patio and relaxed with a couple beers. The service was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend making the drive to downtown Celina soon.
Perhaps best brisket I’ve had. Consistently full of flavor and the right amount of smoke. The moist or lean are both incredible. I wish they had smaller beef ribs as the $24 one rib I had was 80% fat. The only let down I’ve had since finding this spot. Great bbq beans, cheesy Mac and cheese!! The staff is top notch, from refilling your drink, to extra pickles for my kids...
Hands-down, and I mean 2 hands-down, the best brisket on the planet. No joke whatsoever! I’ve eaten brisket at all of the top rated barbecue spots in Texas, and also from award-winning cooking teams, and I really mean the brisket here blows them all out of the water. Perfect amount of bark. The sausage and potato salad were fantastic as well, but did I mention the brisket was amazing! Not to mention, the entire staff was friendly and the fun activities for the kids what a treat also. Keep up the great work, you gained a customer for sure!!!

Awesome food and the people are very friendly and nice. Ribs were fall off the bone, brisket and turkey were so moist and the flavor was to die for. Baked beans, Mac and cheese and banana pudding were the best also. Looks like a weekly visit for sure.
This place is off the charts! Can I give it a 10? Everything is good. No matter what you get, you will not be disappointed. Pineapple coleslaw is Awesome! And the service is great. Anytime an employee walks by your table, they ask if you need anything, can they get you anything. Absolutely the best bbq I have ever eaten!b
Great food. Great staff. Great place to hang out. It’s a must see / eat. Family friendly with games for the kids in all of us. Indoor outdoor seating.
The Wagyu brisket is AMAZING but only offered on the weekends. (I think)
The owner is big in the community and servers the red velvet cake from a nearby restaurant witch is awesome.

A-Mazing! Not only is it a super cool vibe place the brisket is THE best I have ever had. The sausage was like any other, but still very good. We all had a chance to try their banana pudding, which they give you a chilled spoon for, and that was a great experience! If you are every in this area, you have to make time to stop in and get some BBQ! You will not regret it!
First time visitors from MN, and starting the night out talking football with Casey was a treat. Very impressed with his salesmanship as we may not have ordered the ribs without his recommendation...and they were a favorite! I’ve had brisket many times before, and can say with confidence that this was about the best I’ve had, both the lean & moist cuts. Also tried the pulled pork, and added the lemonade pudding for dessert. Everything was melt in your mouth, and the service & friendliness made it an enjoyable night out in a great TX small town much like we live in in MN. Then to find out Torii Hunter is part owner? For diehard MN Twins fans he will always be a Twin & a fan favorite, and we hope to get the chance to meet him & enjoy some Twins & TX BBQ talk over good brisket & ribs sometime soon. We’re here in TX all week, and planning our 2nd visit before we leave!
The El Jeffe (brisket, sausage and a rib served on a Texas toast) is a must plus their beans on the side. The first time I had BBQ without the need for the sauce. That is how good the meat is. And if there is room, the banana pudding as the finishing touch to a great meal. The folks here are very welcoming, establishment is spic and span. We look forward to our return as this is our # 1 choice for BBQ.
This place is awesome. Melt in your mouth brisket. The owner and his crew are the best.
Oh man...this place is no joke. If you're in the area you really need to try it out. We got the moist brisket which had a really nice smokey flavor. We also tried the sausage, loaded spud, and some of the best banana pudding I've had in a long long time. We'll definitely be back

Tender: is the best place in Celina to enjoy an authentic smoked meal. The food is rich in flavor, as the name said, the meat is tender and smooth; this place transport your imagination to another level and experience. The menu has too many choices to pick if you are hungry...Ufffffff. outstanding service and place. The restaurant is clean since you walk in and thr property owner has that energy to make you welcome to this Fantastic place.
I highly recommend to escape from the routine of the city as well as to enjoy a nice place.
Great for children's, families and friends.

This is one of three locations. The food is fantastic as was the staff. Had the 1/2 lb pulled pork and a 1/2 lb brisket. That was a lot of food. There is also a side available and the beer was cooled. We're here for a few days so we'll be back! Oh and it's a one way street east to west, there is parking, diagonal on the north and parallel in front of the restaurant on the south.

The Tender Smokehouse is a wonderful old and rustic local attraction in the midst of downtown Celina. The place has a wonderful old small town vibe and is decorated accordingly. Everyone is extremely friendly and all the regulars are on a first name basis with all the staff. They treat newcomers just as well as the regular customers I might add. All their staff is super polite and everyone we talked to was upbeat, outgoing and down home friendly. We sampled their giant loaded Texas Baked potato I had mine with 1/2 Brisket and 1/2 pulled pork. It was unfathomablely delicious. Object mouthwatering comfort food. The potato was the biggest id ever seen. The pulled pork part was really, really good but the Brisket part stole the show. I will be back earlier in the day next time to try their Sledgehammer Sandwich. My wife suggested we pop in there for dinner tonight for a quick bite which we were effortlessly seated at the bar top and had our order in under 5 minutes. Very glad I tried it was delicious. I will make this my favorite place to eat when I am in the area for certain. Definitely puts some higher end and more advertised establishments to shame. Their was also some nice souvenir items avaliable including their housemade famous meat rubs and BBQ sauce, and a selection of logo T shirts and hats. Great Job Tender Smokehouse Will be back soon.
Tender is the right name for this place! We tried their ribs and they were the most tender we've ever had! The jalapeno sausage was great too! Definitely a place to come back to!
Went for the 1st time looking for a quick lunch. The place was packed & no wonder! The food was excellent & so was the service. The manager welcomed us as 1st timers & chatted with us, gave us a couple of ribs to try - superb - & the banana pudding dessert - heavenly! We will definitely be back!
Hands down one of the best BBQ places!! Jason was a pleasure to speak with. Fantastic food, great atmosphere!! Definitely our go to spot for BBQ. Jason was just wonderful brought us some banana pudding that let me tell you melted in my mouth. He also brought us a sample of the ribs and OMG when I tell you it fell off the bone so tender and fabulous flavor. 👌 Y'all need to check this place out its definitely a place to write home about!!! Love it!!
