Great diner! We live going to "The Egg" we have never had a bad meal. Great American fries, great burgers, good salads even! They do have a liquor license, so you can even get a Bloody Mary, beer or cocktail with your meal! Friendly staff that greats you, sit anywhere policy, great menu, fast friendly service. Best in Cedar Rapids!!!
Great food, at a Great price!. I have to say I was very pleased with the food and service at the Golden egg. My two year old son was very cranky when we had entered the Golden Egg, the server was quick to calm him down, and make him smile. The food was very good, my son wanted pancakes, and I was ready for a beer and shrimp, luckley they have it all! I recomend the Golden Egg to anyone and everyone.
The Golden Egg. I think the Golden Egg has come along way since new management took over. For those of us who are regulars you always find your beverage of choice at your favorite booth or table when you walk in to the establishment, and you're greeted with a smile and by your name. Quantity and quality are always put first, so you defiantly get what you pay for, not to mention the variety of specials they run always keeps new and old critics coming in.
Good family restaurant. Its a good family style restaurant with good sized portions.
If u walk in expecting a concierge at the door...u r on glue. This is a family style resturant with good food. Good, better than the greasy chain options.
