Butcher Block Steakhouse

When we walked in I was quite excited because the place had a face lift compared to when we came last time 2 years ago. The entire experience unfortunately was not good. My wife ordered a grass fed filet and side salad. The salad was wilting, brown, and many greens were shriveled. She left most of it. The grass fed was out of stock, so the standard filet she pivoted to came out as expected. I ordered nachos & duck wontons. The nachos came out cold. The guacamole was brown but I am used to that if it was made earlier. In this case it was rancid and disgusting. The duck wontons were great - just like I remember from before. I told the waiter about the rancid Guac. Her only response was I’m so sorry. No manager involvement at all. Tells the story of this being normal experience to her for me. Flies all over. On the meal, on our hands, on our head. It’s was quite annoying. The overall experience was bad enough that we most likely will not be returning. The restaurant was pretty dead and my guess is it’s most likely was due to this type of service. It took 8 minutes to get a draft beer when there were only a couple other tables in the place. Huge bummer for a place we used to love and expect great quality.

Butcher Block Steakhouse was just wonderful for a Saturday afternoon lunch. The ambience here was very calm and serene. The staff was very nice and our server Gabe, was great. We had a New Yorker (Pastrami) and a New York Strip Steak. Everything was great. The food was cooked to perfection!! I definitely will be coming back here! I highly recommend this place for lunch. The prices weren't too bad either. The only thing that did bother me was the flies. We did have to move from by the windows where they were bad and landed on you constantly. But other than that, everything was excellent. Keep up the good work guys!!

Tonight we went out for Mothers Day dinner. They were busy but offered the patio for seating. We had Onion Rings as the appetizer, extremely good and a good sized portion for two. My wife and I ordered the Delmonico rib eye and the steaks were cooked to perfection. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We will be back. Excellent venue.

Must have been an off-night for the restaurant compared to the rest of these reviews! Our 30 min wait turned into an hour wait for a four person table. Not a terribly busy night and appeared well-staffed. Once at the table, 25 minutes passed before we finally let the hostess know that we had been waiting for our server for that long. (Along with a different table next to us) Once the server came to us, she never offered us drinks and just took our orders. We had to ask for our drinks and refills a few times. Which even took 15 minutes to get the drinks brought to us. One even ordered a lemonade and received a Malibu-lemonade cocktail. 45 minutes for our food to be completed. Burgers were too well done and fries came out five minutes later. Positives: the Ahi Tuna appetizer was on point! Great dish! The sirloin that someone at the table ordered was delicious and made correctly. Otherwise, will probably never recommend or return to this restaurant again.

Expectations Exceeded!! A reliable go to when winding up a long day. The happy hour is the best in the area. The steak salad and prime rib nachos were the best. Our friends had the pork medallions and along with traditional steak and baked potatoe and were extremely impressed with the cut of meat. Thank you to the staff...see you soon.
