This is my first time reviewing any restaurant. The food was so awful, I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t do this. My father is in town so my fiancé & I looked online to see what restaurants were nearby in Cedar City. We wanted to take him somewhere nicer than Chili’s, & since it seemed to be the only one in town with relatively good reviews, we chose to go here without reading the bad ones. This turned out to be a major mistake. The layout of the restaurant was very nice, we enjoyed the lighting & atmosphere. The restaurant only had about 3-4 tables full when we first came in. We were greeted by a nice host, she said it was her first day, & she’s doing a great job. Our waitress was pretty good too. The menu is very limited & doesn’t have any photos of the food. It would be a great idea to include photos so customers know what they’re buying. My father ordered the signature ribeye steak with a side of baked potato. My fiancé ordered a steak, well done, & a side of mashed potatoes. I’m a picky eater, this is not a fault of any restaurant. We came in around 7pm, so cheeseburgers were no longer being served. I was unable to find anything on the menu that piqued my interest, so I ordered pasta primavera, thinking it would have spaghetti sauce on it because the menu said “light sauce”. I should’ve asked more questions, again, this is my own fault. My pasta didn’t come with any optional sides. This was okay with me. I also ordered fried mozzarella from the “starters” list to tide me over until the pasta came. I received my fried mozzarella right before they got their salad. My fiancé and I tried a piece, & the middle was still frozen. The waitress was incredibly polite & willing to have it remade for me. I appreciated that. My father & fiancé got their salad right after, & they really enjoyed the “house dressing”. They loved it! This was the only positive to our experience at the Depot Grill outside of the polite waitress & host. When we received our meals, my fiancé cut into her steak & it was still bloody. She didn’t want to be rude & ask for it to be cooked again, so I asked the waitress myself. She was polite yet again, which gave us great relief. When my fiancé received her steak back, the outside of it was charred, but she was able to eat the outsides of it. If the restaurant hadn’t been so expensive, she wouldn’t have eaten it at all. Once she got to the center, the middle was still completely red. She had to stop eating. Due to health reasons, she must eat meat that is well done. This time we said nothing. We already felt bad for the waitress, knowing the food was out of her control. My father’s 14oz signature ribeye was incredibly undercooked, & a 1/3 of it was fat. He was very disappointed. For a $38 dish, the meat really needs to be cooked correctly & warrant the price. I sent my pasta back because it was nothing more than olive oil & salt on the pasta. Again, this was my fault, I didn’t ask enough questions with the waitress to begin with. She removed it from the bill, which was very much appreciated. The bill came out to $84, & we felt terrible for my father because nobody had a decent meal, aside from the salad. He tipped generously because we always do, we are good people. I hope the manager does something to improve the quality of food at this restaurant & takes my review to heart. I ended up leaving a note about the steak still not being fully cooked because my poor fiancé left hungry. I am only leaving this review in hopes that the manager will rectify these issues. This is a beautiful place with so much potential. The quality of the food needs to reflect the high cost. When we left we ended up going to Dairy Queen to get burgers & deserts.

Delicious food. Excellent service. Steak and shrimp are the best around. The desserts are made by Angels with Diabetes.

Step back in time to the 1940s. The ambiance of deep rich wood and art deco combined with big band sounds and crooners make for a perfect combination to accent gourmet dining.

We had the top sirloin and the New York strip steak, cooked exactly hot we asked, absolutely delicious! The garlic mashed potatoes are the best I've ever had. The appetizer bread is served warm.
I was considering getting the chicken pot pie after reading its favorable reviews, however, when I asked the server about it, she said they were no longer offering it due to their "upgrades" to the menu. Either way, I was happily satisfied with my steak.
The atmosphere is quiet and private, the service is friendly, prompt and attentive. Paula served us, she was excellent!

Food was pretty good. I had the 3 cheese grilled cheese and it was alright. The bread had some interesting herbs on it that clashed with the cheese flavors, but overall it was ok. A generous helping of fries. Everyone else seemed to enjoy what they got. Service was fine. It was almost empty when we were there, though, so keep that in mind. Very nice interior. Closed Mondays during the winter, I believe. Interesting place, food was good but nothing extraordinary.

The quality of food was a 2 star but the attentive staff bumped it up to a 3.
We had steak, potatoes and salad. The steaks were not cooked to order. Although they replaced mine, it was still really flavorless. The "garlic" mashed potatoes had zero flavor. I had to add a lot of butter, salt and pepper just to be able to down them.
The meal cost 70 bucks and was absolutely not worth it.

Excellent food and really great service. Our server really took an interest in us. She was sweet and took time to talk to us. I had the penne Alfredo and it was probably one of the best I've had. It had chicken AND sausage. My wife had a steak and it too was very juicy and well cooked. The atmosphere was quiet and romantic. I highly recommend the depot grill.

I had high expectations for this place as it's a little pricey and has a good ambiance but it was a HUGE disappointment. We got there at 815 (they close at 9.... on a Friday night!?) Ordered an appetizer fried mozzarella which they were out of so we ended up getting the jalapeno rangoons, which was the only good part of the meal. The bread was cold, the salad had water at the bottom of it, they couldn't refill our soft drinks, (they were out of something for the soft drinks) and we waited 45 minutes for our entrees. My man had the lemon chicken dish, chicken was rubbery and potatoes were ice cold. I had the shrimp sampler dish. The shrimp was okay (I've had better coconut shrimp at Rusty's). The rice that came with it was also cold. Overall a very bad experience and at a high price tag. The waitress was good, but I did comment on the long wait and food and she should have sent the manager over especially because we were the ONLY table in there. I would NOT reccomend this place.
