This is a must enjoy spot when in Cayucos. Be sure to dine on the roof deck area — there are overhead heaters above most tables and blankets are available for chilly weather. The view is spectacular, the wines are great, the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious!
Made a spontaneous decision to eat lunch while heading down 1 to Ventura. Excellent choice. Sat outdoors upstairs, with a great view of the ocean and pier. The 805 draft was tasty. I had the standard burger which was great, and the server suggested half onion rings and sweet potato fries. Delicious. Ah, but my wife wanted the tacos with halibut, and the server suggested adding avocado and substituting with the Thai peanut slaw. Her lunch was simply outstanding (I got a couple of small bites). We were so glad we stopped here. The service was superlative and the food was prepared so well and the presentation was superior. So there you go.
If I lived in the area I would be there every night for dinner. Sebastian serves the best bloody Mary's I have ever tasted, their calamari strips are to die for, everything on the menu is fabulous. The view is spectacular, trust me you will not go wrong eating and drinking at this fine establishment.
The front office gal at the On The Beach Bed and Breakfast recommended this place so we stopped by for dinner. Place was packed since it was a Friday nite but we got seated pretty quickly. Food was excellent and service was top notch. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Must come here if you’re in Cayucos.
After a great walk along the beach from Morro Bay, we headed here following a recommendation. Thanks Marty, it was just the place for a cold beer and taco’s. Great waitress and lovely views across the bay.

The only thing that was even the slightest bit negative was that we were told it would be about a 20 min wait and it was about an hour. Other than that, Jake, our waiter, was super friendly and attentive! The food was wonderful also! Never had such delicious calamari!!!!

Have to have their Bloody Mary! Food is always good and fresh! It is my go to place to take family and friends when they visit.
We love Schooner's. Nice servers, good food. If you can sit on the upstairs patio is is a great view of the ocean. Be sure to make a reservation on the weekends, they get pretty busy.

Food was amazing! Good prices and awesome servers. The portions are gigantic. Ordered the calamari and chips and the Ahi Bowl, both were delicious! The Ahi Bowl was an out of comfort zone order but it was so worth it!
The BEST place for a wedding reception! The owner worked with us for months in advance to make sure everything was perfect for our big day! Very reasonably priced and accommodating! The food was amazing, as always, and the views are absolutely beautiful! EVERYONE at the reception RAVED about the food and the atmosphere! This has always been one of my hubby's and mine favorite places to eat when we go to the coast and they TOTALLY delivered for our wedding reception as well!
A great watering hole with perfect ocean views. At the right time of the year the view includes whale spouts. Dolphins, sea otters, sea lions and brown pelicans often frequent the area as well. The beer selection and food offerings are just what you want from a beach bar and restaurant (wine and d cocktails are also available). Their clam chowder, calamari and fish tacos are favorites. There is seating inside, outside, upstairs and down (there is a dog friendly seating area downstairs). The staff members are very friendly. If you’re there around 4:30pm you might get to encounter Randy the Pirate, a local legend. If he’s there, you won’t have to ask, you’ll know it. Great stop.
We just came in for drinks. The only bar in town that sells hard liquor. The bartender Thomas kept our glasses full. Beautiful view of the ocean also.
Casual food, full bar, simple and chic establishment. The servers were all wonderful. Can be packed.
We did a Day trip to cayucos and this is one of my favorite restaurants there the food is always good the service is great and the atmosphere is always wonderful words by the beach
We stopped by for appetizers and a late lunch. We at first sat outside but the rain came in and were quickly accommodated in the bar area. The place is one of those that you remember with lots of funky decorations and plenty of atmosphere. It's located on the waterfront with decent views of the Pacific and a good bit of outdoor seating. We had the fish tacos and clam chowder and found both delicious. Service was decent and bar drinks came quickly. We will definitely be going back on our next visit.

Great location with an excellent view of the beach and pier. Food is good, too, lots of variety. Onion rings are awesome! Clam chowder is think & creamy. Fish (cod or halibut) and chips are outstanding! Staff is friendly and efficient. Prices are fair. Always a must whenever we're in town.
We love everything we order, especially my toddlers love the clam chowder and mac and cheese. Calamari is one of the best I've had. Desserts are not on the menu. You've got to ask for it.

I had the Halibut and Thai slaw, wife had the burger and sweet potato fries. Probably the best piece of grilled fish I've ever had. Slaw was very flavorful. Burger was very good, especially the bun. Sweet potato fries were great.
Excellent location. You can sit at the bar overlooking the ocean and watch the football game. The food was really good as well. I would have given it 5 stars but the bar tender was not really friendly at all. There are only a few tables where the screens are, so you have to arrive early.
Great place in Cayucos! Stopped by here a couple times over the last couple months. Food is always on point and the service is good. Our server was just awesome ans she made the right recommendations and also new the drink menu. Thats a plus as sometimes the servers are clueless about drinks. She smiled and took good care of us even though it was a bit crazy in there. Props to her.
