Review Grotto Cafe - Cave Creek

What a great little spot! You place your order then pick a seat inside or outside and they deliver your food. Service was fairly swift and the food was good enough that I want to come back and try other things. We had the breakfast burrito, which had good flavor but super big chunks of potatoes that were slightly underdone and the size of them made it difficult to eat in a burrito. The turkey avocado sandwich was fresh and delicious. Chips…they were just chips. I’d opt for fruit next time. Outside seating was prevalent and mister fans made it cooler. It is dog friendly. The outside atmosphere is perhaps the star here and it’s more than worthy of a try. The French toast looked amazing and if we make it back this way, I’m definitely getting it! Such a fun & cool place! The perfect bowl of oatmeal & cup of coffee with a grotto view! We also tried their muffins the next day. They are huge & look amazing but are dense & almost more scone like with not a lot of flavor. I wouldn't recommend those but everything else was great!

Super cool and delicious place! If you are in the area, it is the best place to have something to eat! Outside seating is chill! Usually there is a line to order.

The red truck sandwich on an everything bagel was spectacular! Quick and friendly service, Birds, classic rock, great scenery, day made!!! Breakfast, coffee and a bottled water and tip for less than $20? Yep. I’ll be back!

I've only been here for breakfast but I will tell you the options available and the quality and freshness of the food was off the charts. The breakfast bowl with chorizo was outstanding. The ovar easy eggs were cooked perfectly. It came with fresh fruit that was not only very fresh but absolutely spectacular in nature. My companion had avocado toast with over easy eggs. The toast was outstanding. There were options of fresh blueberry muffins and scones that looked phenomenal. However, we did not try them. We did have a banana blueberry smoothie which was also very good. The tables in the grotto under the canopy of the trees is both cooling and romantic. I'm looking forward to returning for lunch as I hear it is equally spectacular.

I've loved the biscuits and gravy for years. I entity this place by myself, with a group, with my kids and even great out on the patio for the dogs. The garden patio is green shady and beautiful. Lots of room and tables indoors. A favorite in Cave creek

This is a walk-up order & seat yourself cafe. Mostly outdoor seating with unbrellas under a canopy of trees, some indoor seating. It can get pretty busy, so finding a table can be a little challenging, but we have been able to get a table each time. This is a great place to grab a bite to eat, or a snack & a beer. Menu consists of hot & cold sandwiches, salads, tacos, & breakfast from 6:30am-Noon...I haven't had anything I didn't enjoy.

Great breakfast joint with a fun atmosphere. They have limited food options but they are all delicious and a must try! We had the red truck breakfast chorizo burrito and the french toast. Food was absolutely delicious and service was on point!

I love this quaint little Cafe. It’s nestled in the sleepy town of Cave Creek. A gem for its coffee and breakfast specials.

So great to be back in this creative and wonderful environment of Cave Creek. The grotto is our favorite restaurant in the area. We make a pilgrimage just to be here.

Grotto Cafe was an amazing find! The staff was friendly, and the owner Mr. Mike was out of this world! I enjoyed all my entrees and drinks. I highly recommend the chicken salad, any of the fresh salads, and the avocado toast. I didn’t only find a great cafe, I found a little family on vacation. You can’t go wrong by frequenting this gem!

One of my favorite restaurants of all time. Such an inviting and serene oasis any time of the year! The live music on the Sunday we went was outstanding. For my meal, the Cuban sandwich was out of this world. I can't wait to come back and sample the coffee, more food.

Definitely come here for the food & atmosphere. Great choices of casual bites. They do serve beer & Cocktails, as well as coffee & other non-alcoholic beverages. Great outdoor seating. Weekend happy hour pricing after 3pm on select items & live local music!!!

You do have to stand in line to place your order but it goes fast! Fresh salad and a Club Sandwich! Delicious. And they have Adult beverages!

Some cafes have great food and some others have great atmosphere. This place has both. We mostly stop by at lunch for our favorite salad or panini sandwich. Also tried their excellent breakfast menu and espresso coffee. Outside seating area was always popular but now it is greatly expanded and became even more popular. Inside seating area can be a little noisy due to friendly chatter but you may also enjoy 70's rock music at the background.

Fantastic little spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Great menu with lots of selections. Really friendly staff and the food was great. We had a perfect table outside surrounded by desert plants and artwork. Highly recommend for a simple, relaxing meal.

We made the drive to try this little place. The staff was so nice. They exceeded my expectations. We had brunch and the French toast was amazing. The strawberries were delicious! Drinks and coffee were great. We will certainly be back!

Very friendly staff, food was delicious and the coffee was excellent. Love the atmosphere whether your indoors or out to dine. You won't find dinner here but breakfast and lunch menu is awesome.

Delicious food. I ate the carnitas tacos with apple slaw and it was cooked to perfection. Great customer service. Conveniently located next to a consignment store. I highly recommend this cafe!

My first time to Arizona, came to the Grotto, Loved it!! Best vanilla latte and baked goods enjoyed on the patio. Talked with the owner, very personable. Loved it so much made more visits while I was there. Red truck chorizo burrito..excellent. Look forward to coming again.

We loved the atmosphere and coffee but were a little disappointed in the small breakfast menu and the quality of the food. The lunch menu looks very good so I would go back for lunch, for sure!
