What can I NOT say about this cafe! It gives me Central Perk (from Friends) vibe with a twist! The staff is extremely friendly the food and drinks are delicious and unique. Looking for a local, friendly cafe to cowork? Cafe Rumi is your place! Wifi is available upon request and the overall vibes are chill. My favs - Belgian waffle with banana. Don’t leave without getting the pink chai 💕 it’s a must!

Cafe Rumi in Castro Calley offers unique coffees, teas & food. There are so many options. It's a friendly family atmosphere with Baristas who are cheerful, smiling & efficient! They are a lovely group of people! My addiction is the hot Pink Chai Latte. I started off this past December going in 1x a week, now it's 3x a week! Well worth the effort to check out this adorable neighborhood business. Please order yourself the Hot Pink Chai latte! It's a must try. The Pink Chai Latte can be served over ice if you prefer. There is indoor, as well as outdoor seating to enjoy your food & drinks! Also occasional live musical entertainment by local artists in front of this adorable cafe.

Totally unexpected surprise! Went there out of curiosity because I remember reading poetry from Rumi back in college. I got the Rumi egg sandwich which came on a pita with this amazing garlic pepper aïoli and the egg was so fluffy and delightful! It has gyro/shawarma meat and the overall combination just made my taste buds sing. I definitely needed the calories for biking through the canyon over to San Ramon. Breakfast of champions!

Support small businesses!! Cafe Rumi was a great find after a work call. I had a great gyros sandwich (always a favorite), a cool strawberry smoothie but the best thing was a pudding they've introduced. It was incredible! A rose water flavored cream with sliced almonds and little noodles (!) which was just fantastic. Subtlety sweet and creamy with the different textures was just awesome. These ladies earned a solid 5 stars from me!

Its tradition every year for us to get a Nutella hot chocolate after finding our Christmas tree :) We didn't get to enjoy drinking it inside the Cafe this year, but we made it work sitting in the car listening to Christmas music. Thanks for being part of our tradition! (The lavender latte is very good, too.)

Are inside here. Like others, when you order inside they package the food for take out but you can eat inside. Had the Gyro platter and it tasted very good. The meat was tender and flavourful, rice was soft, salad was simple but too many cucumber abs tomatoes. The portion size was generous, and it came with a very good green sauce that gave it a different flavor than other Gyro I've had. I asked for more of that sauce it was great.
