My family stopped in today for lunch. We had great service and great food. This place has been there for years and is definitely worth the stop. There outdoor patio is a great place to eat and enjoy the river and scenery. Great job you guys and we will see you soon.

We always get a burger when we stop here because they are the best burgers ever but today we decided to get club sandwiches. OH MY WORD! Yum! We also watched milkshakes being made and they looked amazing! Definitely stopping on our way home from McCall for a burger and a shake. The only downfall to this place is that it isn’t five minutes from home. Probably a good thing or I would be 800 pounds!
Under new management. A fun positive place to stop at on your way to your destination on HWY 55. Phenomenal menu items. Fresh ground beef and the friendliest staff you'll ever meet. Bathroom stop are curteousy now. Stop by and see the renovations. Open 8am to 8pm on weekends. Eventually will be open all week!

Thanks to Patrick,Stacy and the staff at Cougar Mountain Lodge for a wonderful New Year's Eve party. Pleasant crowd, great food, nice live entertainment topped off with a colorful firework display against the midnight sky. New ownership with the beginning of many new traditions. Keep up the good work.

Great to see the highway 55 icon back in business. Stopped for lunch yesterday and pleasantly surprised. One of the best burgers and fries we have had in a long time. The place has been cleaned up nicely, great service and ready for us all to start patronizing it again. Nice job Cougar Mtn. Will be back soon.
We just had the best burgers and fries here after staying in Smith's Ferry for the weekend. The food was delicious and filling! Whether we are staying in the area or on the way to mccall or cascade, we will be stopping here every time for more great eats!
Stopped here on our to Boise. Had an excellent lunch. Friendly atmosphere & staff. The food was great. So on our way back to Kellogg we stopped and had breakfast. Would recommend any one going that way to stop and try it.

Staff was great, bugers made ro order, and the lodge is perfectly located just off the river. The chocolate chip sundae get a thumbs up for sure!!

Delicious shakes and onions rings. Excellent service. My kids loved the covered wagon tables too. We'll be back!
Had dinner here after a day in McCall. Great quality! I will be going back in the future! My only critique: turn up the heat just a bit. Had to wear my winter coat inside!
Nice place. The burger was a little dry but good quality beef. Soup was solid and the Huckleberry shake was excellent. Surprisingly good drip coffee. The atmosphere is great with a nice view to boot. It's an interesting place considering it's kind of in between major locations and it's not a gas station, so they probably get passed up a lot (17 miles out from Cascade Idaho). But it's obvious there was a lot of love put in to make this stop what it is.
Its got a bar, a restaurant and a small convenient store. If you're on 55, it's worth a stop.
Absolutely unbelievable burgers!
I got the black & blue which was blue cheese heaped under melted Swiss, pickle slices, sliced onions, perfectly cooked on a bed of crunchy lettuce .. I would drive out here just for a meal and the ambience is really neat.
we love the hamburgers! they are the best. our favorite is the payette burger.
I broke down and was stuck here for hours. They were all so kind and helpful. It had that real small town feel. 10/10 Would love to drop by again just under better circumstances.

Real good restaurant good place up there to snowmobiles do Recreation and love it I'm giving you five star for this thank you guys for letting us come up there and Rider snow boots and have fun with our families you guys are awesome
