My family has been coming here for 2 years, ever since we moved to cary! We have tried almost everything on the menu and it’s all beyond phenomenal! JCS is a family owned cafe, you are ensured to have the best experience every single time! They are very courteous and professional, the customer service is never short of exceptional! You can gaurentee that your meals are all freshly made with all fresh fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients. JCS homemade soups are out of this world, his salads are better then any other place around, not to mention his Peninis!!! He has a great menu with plenty of variety for everyone’s liking. The atmosphere inside is so cozy, plenty of seating areas for everyone, with music and live music on occasion. They also have a great seating area outside, makes for great meals outdoors. The view outside of downtown cary is like no other, it doesn’t get better then this! They also have an amazing drink menu, from kids drinks, to coffee, to smoothies, to alcoholic beverages. Our kids LOVE JCS and it’s the only place they want to go! If you have not tried JCS cafe, then I HIGHLY recommend it, because you are missing out. Hands down best place in cary!!
Cary is so lucky to have this cafe, but if you're coming from elsewhere it's still worth the trip. I'm definitely a "creature of habit" so when I find something I like, I tend not to try much else. I discovered their caprese panini and tend to only get that - fresh slabs of mozzarella, bright tomato, red onion and red pepper, mixed greens and a zesty pesto - I don't think it could get any better! I started out with the homemade gourmet soups in the fall and winter, and have since tried their chilaquiles (happily veganized with a mountain of veggies!) and a Belgian waffle. Today I tried an affogado and was in heaven. For the better weather, JC's has a patio with ample seating for viewing downtown Cary activity. They have occasional entertainment. They've got beer, wine and mixed drinks. The variety is endless and everything is so fresh, delicious, and homemade. Do yourself a favor and visit!
JCs is an absolute gem! They have great coffee, outstanding customer service, and it is very apparent that every dish is made with care. So happy to have a such a warm, quality coffee shop so close to home!
I felt like I was walking into a restaurant from another city. We each had paninis (chicken & bacon, prosciutto & fresh mozzarella) and they were the best paninis we'd ever had. We'll be back next week for breakfast to try the waffles, and again for a dinner. It's a cozy place.
Best coffee in town. Paninis are top-notch too. Whether you are a local or a visitor, this place is a must. Owner and staff are so friendly.
I often do work on my computer in cafes, and I have tried a lot of coffee shops and cafes in the Crystal Lake/Algonquin area, and JCs is just the best. The food is always tasty, interesting and fresh (and they have great presentation if you're looking for something to put on your instragram!). The menu is constantly expanding and the variety is just crazy for the size of this little joint!, The coffee drinks are generous sizes and taste just right. The atmosphere is cozy and eclectic, and I couldn't ask for anything more. I could spend all day here.
The sandwiches are great. We have tried four already and they are all good! The ingredients are always fresh and so well combined for a great flavor. The coffee is amazing. It is such a great local restaurant.
As soon as I walked in, I felt at home. Very welcoming and warm. I ordered a panini and let me tell you, it was hands down the best panini I have had in a long time!!! Besides great food, the prices are good!!! I highly recommend the turkey or avocado panini!!!!! Amazing!!!!��

We love coming here every Sunday. The waffles and paninis are to die for and the coffee is fabulous. Such a homey place and love that everything is made to order, just like home. Sunday can't come fast enough!!

For a vegetarian options are limited in the area. That being said, JCs cafe offers several solid vegetarian options. My favorites are the caprese & avocado paninis. Their coffee is some of the best around because they is Julius Meinl! Its no secret quality ingredients lead to quality food - and JCs uses only the best and freshest. The owner is also very friendly and passionate about his business making the overall experience very enjoyable.
I had the special pork garlic aioli panini. It was fantastic and you can tell the quality of the food is exceptional. I plan to try their homemade soups as well. New favorite place�����
I am ashamed to say this was my first time there. What a wonderful surprise was behind the front door! Eclectic and comfy atmosphere and a welcoming proprietor. JC you make a scrumptious panini and a stellar Bloody Mary. We can’t wait to come back and try some of your other meals. Thank you for making our day. It was a real pleasure.

I stopped here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised to find a new favorite! The vanilla iced coffee is amazing, taste like fresh vanilla. The owners are very friendly and informative, always making fresh items. The smells alone coming from the mouth watering soup being made in back was enough to keep me, and the adorable atmosphere is what keeps me coming back for more! When at JC's I feel as if I'm in am episode of Friend's, without the awful service! Thanks for this lovely little addition it wonderful downtown Cary
Found this little gem of a cafe on Google and it did not disappoint. So fresh and delicious, family owned and the owners are great. Everything is made from scratch using the freshest ingredients. We had the potato soup with caramelized onions, caramelized garlic, smoked bacon...it was delicious. I had a quesadillas with provolone and bacon as well.
They also serve breakfast (which, based on the lunch, has to be awesome as well) next time I will have to try the waffles and hand made coffee. It's a small place with a cozy atmosphere, don't miss out on this little hidden gem, it will not disappoint. 5+ stars from this reviewer!
Everything is homemade from scratch, I mean they bring in the prepared deli meats and all. The soups and everything else is made from complete scratch. The gentleman who owns the place is very personable, we had great conversation the last time I was in there. The coffee is of great quality also. Julius Meinl, or something like that. I recommend that you give it a try. They also have daily specials, give them a call and see what the feature is. You won't be disappointed!
Came in for Sunday brunch. Greatest chai tea latte I've had. We both got bacon egg and cheese panini. It was fabulous. Great owners and staff. Will definitely return again soon with our friends. Would highly recommend. Easily 5 stars
Had the JG salad with smoked salmon and pesto dressing! Food was amazing and customer service was perfect. If your passing by I would recommend you stop in and grab a bite to eat. Nice patio to sit and enjoy your meal!
Absolutely delicious! I had the caprese panini, my husband had the chicken bacon panini and my son had the waffle with Chantilly cream. The veggies were fresh and the paninis were crisp. The owner was very nice! This was my first time here and I will definitely be back soon!!!
We've stopped in on a weekend morning quite a few times. Great breakfast sandwiches and amazing coffee. We love sitting on the patio with our bernese mountain dog and the owner has brought out water for her when we are out there.
Best coffee place in town. Feels like you're at home every time you walk in, but with way better food and drinks. JC and his family make me feel welcome whether I'm stopping by with my dogs (outside, of course), meeting someone for lunch, or grabbing coffee with my wife. I recommend to everyone.
