M & M Soul Food

Hi, I have been going to M&M for about 25 years. I never been disappointed for most of their food. The food is great, especially the desert peach cobbler. The gumbo crabs well it tastes good But they put tiny crab legs in there too where is no meat. I asked for extra crab meat I was charged $5 And I could have kept my $5 they gave tiny tiny legs And no shrimps. I had so much chicken in there. that's the only complaint I have about it They don't give you enough crabs and shrimps. I won't be ordering their gumbo no more

The food was awesome, amazing, fantastic. I can eat here everyday. The pork chops, macaroni and cheese, and greens. Pure fire 🔥🔥🔥💯. Our whole table was packed out food everywhere. And the corn bread was perfect. The only thing I wish is that the location was bigger. If your in Carson visit this location you will love the soul food.

I've been a long, long time customer. That says something about the food right there. It's all very good. The service is another thing. Takes forever to get your order. They sometimes don't answer the phone for hours for pick ups. You have to go there and order, then wait an hour for it to be ready. I would probably eat here more if it wasn't always so inconvenient. It has truly prompted me to explore all the other soul food joints in the area...🤷

If Mama ain't cooking, then M & M's is the next best thing. This is Soul Food that truly feeds the soul. The staff is fantastic. They take really good care of you, as you drift into soul food bliss. Be patient though, because some dishes are cooked to order. This ain't fast food...this is real food. There's a reason why M & M Soul Food is legendary in Los Angeles. Come in, sit down, pick up a menu and order. When your plates are set before you on your table, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

First of all I went to this location because I’ve never been before and I thought the food would be different than R&R, previously M&Ms on Avalon. but I wouldn’t be so lucky. The fish was equally as salty As R&R. Everything they cook has tons of sugar. The greens have sugar in them, the dressing has sugar in it, the yams are too sweet the cornbread has sugar. Let me tell you the greens were so tough but I welcomed them because I can eat raw greens they were sweet though but not salty. If you cook greens long enough you wouldn’t have to put sugar in them. If they are bitter you can put a little sugar in them but you still have to cook them, you shouldn’t be able to taste the sugar it should balance out. I am tired of these soul food restaurants with this salty and sweet food we need a real soul food restaurant. If I had enough money I would open one because this is ridiculous.
