Sam's House Bbq

If you're walking around the square, you already know what your smelling outside is Sam's House BBQ! A nice smokey, delicous smell comes from this place that you'll be leaving smelling just like it. It reminds me of camping & BBQ nights so it was nice for me and my fiance. I tried the Sam's burger with green beans and it was amazing! My fiance tried the Nick's burger with Mac'n'Cheese and he really enjoyed his too. Our waiter was super sweet and even let us try a sample of some key lime pie and it was amazing. The cook was very friendly as well. I would highly recommend giving this place a shot and see what you think. We will most certainly be back for the burgers and sides!

I've never been to Carrollton Georgia, nor did I ever expect to but here I am and I was hungry. Right across the street from the hotel is this great little barbecue place called Sam's House BBQ. The owner himself is the cook so I'm guessing that Sam, very nice guy some of the things I ordered they didn't have because it was getting very close to closing. He told me I can give it to you but I don't want to serve it to you cuz it would be a mess and I wouldn't stand behind that product so I ordered some alternatives and my meal was fantastic. Chopped BBQ pork and a smoked sausage with collard greens baked beans and some peach cobbler. Would highly recommend. It's not a fine dining restaurant this is a true barbecue place so don't expect a bunch of frills.

I got the chopped pork combo and gotta tell ya the food was amazing but the side is kid portioned so if ya like me and like a nice side with your meal I would go large on the side. Had Brunswick stew which was really good just wish I new it was such a small side for would have ordered more the okra was good I would give 5 stars if the combo side was about the large size for combo meal shouldn't come with a kid portion

Usually it's a great experience and the food is awesome. Today was not great. They were really busy with to go orders. I was charged over $100 for two family meals that are priced at $30 each on the menu. Also, my order was 2 hours late being ready. Update:. After getting the food home we realized that we didn't even get the Cole slaw that we ordered. So I changed my rating. This was a terrible experience.

If I go back, I'll pre-order, food, delivery is slow. Five,grumpy old men, ordered, four Sam's hamburger special with chopped pork, ordered mine, med rare got well done. A plain burger w/ no seasoning therefore no flavor, but the burger had an after flavor of old meat Topped with chopped pork, pickles a half a slice of over, over ripe tomato and the end cut of slice of romaine lettuce (no one puts romaine on a burger). Fresh cut fries, a good size portion but no seasoning. Lastly, nearly all reviews commented on the Brunswick stew.. yes,, its the best. Sold under Walker Food brand, but made by Duffeys recipe that was my grandfather's. Service was better than good, atmosphere was; interesting just hope they are regularly inspected.

The food was excellent. The atmosphere is family friendly. The wait staff was very courteous and efficient. All these years I've either lived here or visited. PEOPLE STOP SLEEPING ON THIS RESTAURANT. If you want some good BBQ... truthfully it tastes like your grandma done stood and worked over the BBQ pit all day and lastly threw the mac and cheese in the oven before she sits down to rest. LOVE is what I tasted because it reminded me of my grandma before I could finish eating. DON'T TAKE MY WORD, TRY IT FOR YOURSELF!

No chicken or Brunswick stew, or so we were told. Turns out the chicken was only 5 mins from being ready (as the table next to us ordered it.) The pork sandwich was delicious, as were the fries. Bit of a dive/hole-in-the-wall restaurant, but those are usually the best (just be careful of the lights falling from the ceiling.)
