The meal was delicious and the staff was very accommodating. My first order of Pancakes arrived cold and they were very quick to replace it returning in only a few minutes with hot ones. I was very pleased with the service, friendliness and style of the restaurant!

Came to Elmo's for a late breakfast/early lunch on a Friday morning. Even for a weekday at this time, it was still pretty busy but we were able to get seated immediately.
This is a typical diner that serves both breakfast and lunch all day. The service is friendly, it has quite a big menu (breakfast stuff, burgers, sandwiches, and salads), and it's very cheap.
I ordered the Santa Fe Breakfast bowl which was both filling and delicious. It has a base of crispy corn bread and sweet potatoes and then has avocado, black beans, and I added sausage.
Great diner to check out when you're in Chapel Hill.

Ok so almost everyone knows Elmo’s l so I’ll just say that when we moved from Cary to Chapel Hill we did an fun & extensive search for a breakfast place we would call home (we eat breakfast out a lot). And we decided that Elmo’s fit the bill for us and we’ve never regretted the decision. Great food and great staff.

Great hometown place. Consistently good service and good food. We like the breakfast all day. The Orange French Toast was delicious, and included a fun little snowman in the whipped cream today. Have had lots of lunch and dinner items in past visits and all have been good, too.

The food was incredible with a reasonable price to go with it. The wait staff took great care of us and I couldn't be more satisfied. Definitely grab some breakfast here! There's one large TV to watch a game and there is plenty of different seating options.

Just a bit expensive, but the food and service is great. The tables in the outdoor room are great since it almost feels like you’re outside! 😀
