This is a nice family style breakfast restaurant. Our booth was small but comfortable. There was a large selection of dishes available on the menu. 2 of my children brought me here for Father's day. I had a combo meal, eggs, pancakes bacon and sausage. My daughter had a crepe with fresh strawberries, my son a skillet and a side of pancakes. It was delicious.

Stopped by here on my way home from Chicago. This was a great stop on our trip. Service and food were great. If you are looking for a nice place for breakfast I'd give them a try.

They've got a lot of great food, but I usually get a waffle with blueberries. This has become the place that my mom and I will go when she visits. I know the food will be good and the service will be great--they are very personable and sweet there. I also recommend the Dutch baby. Definitely check them out. Oh- and the portions are a good size as well :)

Loved my first visit. Had quite a surprise though! For those who doesn't know it - this place serves double portion of eggs!! When they brought my order I thought there was a mistake...instead of 2 eggs, there were 4 shiny sunnysides looking at me đ

Good food! Love the apple pancake! Split an omelet and it was fantastic. Our only issue is the tables are so close so you are bumping people sitting behind you. But that's also part of the charm. We will definitely go out of our way for breakfast again!

This is my ABSOLUTE favorite breakfast spot. When I lived here I went weekly, sometimes twice a week. If I didnât have anyone to go with, I went by myself, so you know if Iâm in town Iâm stopping in. Of course they never disappoint. I had my favorite: a vegetarian skillet with a biscuit and a side of gravy. My man has the Wisconsin omelet with pancakes. Phenomenal as usual, and always too much to eat in one setting. You can never go wrong with Red Apple!

I have gone here for years. The only thing I wish they'd consider changing is their bacon. It is thick and a little chewy. I think thin and crispy would be a great change. Other than that it is the perfect neighborhood breakfast place
**little update** back after 2 pandemic non-restaurant years. Same great place same great people. Have plastic dividers between booths which is awesome. New floors look clean and sharp.

I've been to all the best restaurant all over Illinois, but, Red Apple's weekend special, the Andriana's Boat, is excellent and the best egg benedict I've ever tasted in my entire life! The server is very attentive, helpful and friendly! Rating them overall from 1-10, I'll rate them 10!

Never ever disappointed when we come to Red Apple! Everything is exceptional! The food is generous and plentiful, and always has an attractive presentation. The selection of breakfast and lunch items is fabulous! The service is wonderful - very attentive, polite, friendly staff! The restaurant ambiance is warm and welcoming, a total family friendly atmosphere. The restrooms are clean and tidy - a huge must for me in restaurants! I always recommend Red Apple to anyone. I'm really glad I picked this place to go eat breakfast with my cousin. It was such a cute little restaurant, food was just right, our waitress was super friendly, and overall just a great atmosphere. Blueberry pancakes were outstanding, also highly recommend the Bavarian creme crepe. Very very tasty and the omelettes were huge! I was highly satisfied with everything! Thank you for making my trip to Illinois that much better:)

All I can say is... I was stuffed!! Had the biscuits and gravy skillet, and admit the biscuits and gravy were the best I've had, and I'm picky. My GF had the stuffed french toast, and she was pleased.
Although the food came out very quickly, we weren't rushed to leave, because one will need some time to digest what you just ate.... To bad I live 40 miles away, because I'd like to try the other offerings.

I am just so enamored by this place this morning - we came by on a whim heading out of town, and breakfast was delicious! The food came out SO fast, everyone was so kind, and I can now get on the road with a happy tummy full of cinnamon swirl French toast and bacon. If I'm ever back up this way, I look forward to coming by again!

I love mom & pop places and this definitely hit the spot. I ordered the sampler and switched it for stuffed French toast and it was delicious. I would def go back. My bf had the spinach eggs Benedict. We ordered a side of corned beef hash...im picky on that too and i give teem an A+.
