El Palmar is a fabulous family owned restaurant! The friendly atmosphere, great food, wonderful service make it a place we go to often. The portions are large, I've never had a meal there I was disappointed in. Love their tortilla soup & their shrimp dishes. The fact that there is a crowd there says it all!!
This is the best neighborhood Mexican restaurant in town. Started in a tiny space across the street from where they are now, and it is packed almost every day of the week. Been eating here for over 13 years, great to know their business has grown and is a neighborhood staple!! YUMMY....their Shrimp fahitas are the best...no whimsy little shrimp.....love it!!
This is the best Mexican Restaurant. I love the shrimp dishes. The fish tacos are also the best you'all ever have. I brought a friend who lives at the Mexican border in Texas. He was reluctant and talked about all of his places "back home". He ordered the Chimichanga. He was blown away and now only wants to eat at El Palmar when he's in town. The constant crowds don't lie. Great service. Great food. Thank you for being in our neighborhood!
El Palmar is the best Mexican food in Sacramento. It is owned by a great guy and his family and the food is always fresh and service is always fast and friendly. If you go you have to try the deep-fried ice cream.

This place is super family friendly. We always feel welcomed. The staff is beyond accommodating. They don’t take reservations and they tend to be busy... so it pays off to get there early.
Forget the diet and get the chimichanga. Grilled chewy totrtilla is to die for

Super yummy they have amazing margaritas and we can literally walk here.
Love this restaurant, everything is do good. Home made beans rice (almost as good as mine) love the chili verde! Their salsa is tasty but not very hot.

I have been to this restaurant more times than I can count. The restaurant is clean neat with super comfortable booths. The wait staff is phenomenal, nothing falls through their fingers. Now to the food one word describes it, unforgettable. I am not just talking about one item, I am talking them all of them and I haven’t even gotten the chips and salsa yet. Just sitting here writing this is making my stomach rumble and mouth water. I don’t usually recommend an entrée but you have to try the Basil Chicken, oh my! Now to the chips, I can’t get enough of them even when I can’t move. If you live in the neighborhood and haven’t gone, what are you waiting for? Definitely missing out. Stop in you will fall in love too.

Amazing food even better service this is a great local joint. I recommend everything but especially the burritos. I have been coming here for years it is consistently great and advice is good most staff worked here for years and the margaritas are tasty.

This place is probably the best Mexican restaurant in the area (my opinion). It's always busy and most likely you will run into neighbors or friends here. The fajitas are a huge amount of food and everything is delicious. Drinks are reasonably priced. Ordering for pick up is usually very fast as well.
We came here for dinner for the first time. I ordered two Enchiladas, one chicken and one cheese, with rice and beans. My wife had a bowl of Tortilla Soup. Both of our meals were tasty and delicious Mexican food. The staff is nice and friendly and there is plenty of room for all in this restaurant. I would recommend this place to all my family and friends 😋
Service was prompt and friendly. Clean environment. Ordered the chicken enchiladas, food was bland, no flavor from the chicken, sauce or the rice. Prices were very reasonable. Would be 5 star if food tasted like anything
