Had the chicken and black bean soup which was tasty. Also got a Avocado green goddess salad with chicken which was also very good considering I am not a fan of salads. Clean atmosphere and friendly staff.
Always loved the steamy flavor packed soups this place had to offer when I worked in NYC. So overjoyed to have found one near my new employment location with even more options during the day. The location is large and kept clean. The varieties in the soup, salad and sandwiches are vast. My favorite and go to when I need a little comfort is always that large creamy tomato with chicken and orzo soup and 2 nice huge pieces of sourdough bread to go along with it. Very interested in their new varieties and will be back for some more.

Fresh salads made right in front of you. Such a healthy, fast, fun, lunch. I discovered hale and hearty in NYC I was happy to hear about the long island location. They do not move as fast as the city locations but this location is not as busy. The soups and sandwiches are tasty and fresh as well. They accept credit and debit cards.
My husband and I love the salads and soup here it’s just that they changed their hours to be closed on the weekends and close at 5pm during the week, which blocks out the clientele for people that work until 5 or later. So we haven’t been able to make it in a while.

You can either make your own salad or order one that they can make ie Chicken Cesar Salad. He salad can be a meal in its own. The soups are delicious. My 2 favorites are the chicken and sausage jambalaya and Lobster Bisque. The sandwiches are great.
Excellent team work. When its busy everyone jumps in to all stations for quality service. The food is very good and healthy. The restaurant is clean. Everyone greets you with a smile and makes you feel welcomed with brief conversation. Terrific place to eat for the whole family!
I wish they had one of these near my job cause I would go everyday. They have a huge selection of soups and that salad choice is great. I would recommend get the lunch special soup and salad it's enough for two. They also have sandwiches mainly on foccocia bread, which I wish they would use another bread that's softer.
If you love soup you have to try this place. 2nd trip now and everything we try is absolutely delicious. Chicken pot pie and chicken sausage jambalaya soup are fantastic. Love the bread they give you to dip as well. Friendly staff, clean place and a point system app that gives you 2 bucks off on your first purchase. Can't go wrong with this place. My next soup is gonna be the 3 lentil chilli !!
Was along for the ride with a coworker/friend who had to pick up dinner for her family-- I opted to go in 'just to see' if there was anything that caught my fancy-- it's been years since I've had anything from Hale and Hearty, but the various soups that were on the "hearth" reminded me of what I've been missing♡

Nice large space with really delicious soup and sandwich options. I loved the Thai salad and the chicken and corn bisque. And there pick 2 serving sizes were really generous!
