Best lobster stew in New England!
My wife and had lunch there and really enjoyed it. She had the wedge salad and I had the fish and chips. Great seafood and the service was really good. Nice view overlooking the harbor as well.
I highly recommend the gigantic bowl of mussels. Absolutely amazing.
Absolute best food in Maine!!! The lobster was cooked to perfection and the mussels were pristine. Mike the bartender made the restaurant experience more than we expected. This will forever be our favorite seafood restaurant! We cannot wait to come back and visit!
LOVE that they reopened (under new ownership). Also refreshed the menu and added new options. Clearly putting work into improvements and setting it up for long term success. Food and drinks are still great (like the added bucket drink options) and the atmosphere is also intact. Family friendly place with a great bar. Also love that they kept my favorite menu item, which is the lobster curry!!
Started with Peppers brand “Champ” draft beer and it was delicious, I had the baked stuff haddock and it was absolutely wonderful. All five of us in my party ordered different entrees and each one was phenomenal. Nora our server was outstanding! The dining experience was hands down the best I’ve had all summer/ fall. Highly recommend The Cape Neddick Lobster Pound!
NOTE: Despite at least 3 employees behind the bar it took 9 minutes to even get someone to acknowledge me, let alone get a drink. (The gentleman bartender was very pleasant once we ordered!) However, each of the 3x I’ve been into the bar this summer has NOT been a pleasant experience.

Stopped in on Fathers Day, busy but not chaotic. Rainy day - perfect for lobster stew and chowder. Bigger inside than we thought, cool older bar, welcoming (20 seats) - great Maine feel to it. Service was great, older funny bartender. Nice experience. Right on the water between York and Cape Neddick. Perfect spot. Looked packed in the dining room, w great water views. Lobster Stew really good, chowder is ok (a lot of seasoning/bacon) 👍🏼🦞UPDATED: new owners took over 6 months ago. Prices are a little high, but that being said the still have great menu and all the food was tasty. Nothing blew us away, but overall experience was good. Can’t beat the view.
The staff there was as amazing as the food! We went there with our 1 year old daughter. Not only did they give her some free snack (oyster crackers and a few orange slices) without us asking, they also always came by to wave and smile at her. All the waitresses were so nice and helpful with our baby, not just our own server. They even brought out a live lobster to show the baby 🦞
The food was excellent and reasonably priced. We are originally from Michigan and thought prices were comparable or cheaper than most seafood places. We got two of the lobster rolls and the shrimp and scallop stuffed lobster. AMAZING! I wish we could have gone there again before we left. Still thinking about it on our 800 mile journey home.

My wife and I had an amazing time and meal there last night. Had to leave this review. We ate at the bar and had impeccable service. The server kept us smiling and well fed! In total I had 3 🦞 lobsters cooked to perfection. We go there every year when we vacation in Maine for our anniversary . Every time is awesome, we always recommend this to friends as well. This is a great place with an awesome atmosphere!!
Our first time having dinner there and we will definitely be back. The owner came to our table and welcomed us. He gave us some history and also shared plans for the upcoming season. The food was delicious and hot, waitress was very friendly and attentive, everything was clean and inviting, and plenty of servers to handle a full restaurant. Best meal so far this trip! We wish you well on the future remodeling ! We plan to return next year to check out the changes. Don’t change the menu or the staff they were great!!
Staff are super welcoming and friendly. Drinks are great, and the food was fantastic.
We had a group of 17 people and the service was great. The menu has a variety of great options for surf or turf. The whole lobsters were fresh and prepared well.
After our meal the kids enjoyed playing on the beach and in the surf just across the bridge.
Would go back again if in the area. Nice tables outside on the rooftop would be great for summer.
