Their salad is very good. Lots of good fruit and vegetables in it. I liked their blueberry salad dressing.
I ordered the Dartmouth for my entree. It had haddock, four mahogany clams, two shrimp, one scallop, and a very small lobster tail. They forgot to put the mashed potatoes on the plate so I served a side of dry mashed potatoes. It was good but not worth $43.
The key lime creme brûlée was excellent.
I like this place but prices are on the very high side. The pasta dishes seem like a better deal.
Best restaurant, best food, best specials and best wait staff we have found in the area. No liquor license so it's bring your own. $$$$ but worth every penny. We hesitated to try it because from the outside it is a turn off. This place is a hidden gem.
Excellent excellent excellent crab cakes!!! The dressing on the petit salad is s total mystery and so fresh tasting. Pumpkin ravioli was good. Blueberry cheesecake was very good. Our server was the owner and she is a pip.
Excellent! Best food I have ever had. All 4 in my party loved their dishes. A must for all. Food is spicy and costs about $30/person. THEY ONLY TAKE CASH!

Eclectic, cozy little place located just as you head into Ogunquit downtown. Reservations are advised, as it was very busy. Customers were definitely having a fun time. It was a loud and festive atmosphere. The service team were working their tails off, hustling. Their specialty cocktails were creative and tasty. As for the food, it was evident that everything was scratch-made. This was mostly a positive for us, but not with all items. The bread was chewy & fresh. The Caesar came with my entree. A little odd that it had kale and spinach in it, not traditional. The chowder was a little watery and not memorable. The haddock entrees were both mediocre flavor-wise, but huge portions. The haddock both had to be 16oz. portions each and fresh. Potatoes were thin, bland and the haddock lacked flavor and seasoning. The hand-made pasta was dense & ate heavy. For entrees hovering $40 to $50 dollars, one would expect a little more finesse and attention to detail on the flavor. That being said, we have a lot of friends who love this place and we can see why. There are still many positives. Our experience was that the large-sized portions possibly masked the intended flavor. It wasn’t a home run for us. We did have fun though. No slight on the staff and the business, as they all were working hard and have a great reputation locally. I would recommend that people try this establishment. You might find it as a perfect fit.

This was hands down the best meal I’ve ever had! What a unique and fantastic eatery. The hospitality alone was enough of a reason to go back again. The food was so fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. This is now a “must go” location for our yearly trip to Maine. But honestly, on any given day I’d drive the 1 hour and 45 minutes to eat there. Must try!
Hands down the best restaurant in the Ogunquit, York Cape Neddick, York area. I have had the Seafood Scampi and the Chicken Piccata. Both were completely delicious. Reasonable proces. The side salad is unbelievable. Homemade pasta. The chef is truly a chef. Huge portions. Highly recommend
The food is absolutely delicious and abundant. We were a party of 6 and everyone loved their food. The service was fabulous too… friendly, prompt, and helpful
My husband and I went here on our honeymoon and the food was delicious! The reason I give it a 4 and not a 5 though is because the chef doesn't like you to change the dish as it's written in the menu. You couldn't order a dish and ask for it without artichoke hearts, for example, you just have to take the dish as is, even if you really dislike artichoke hearts. But the dishes we got were delicious! We just had to eat around anything we weren't fond of.
OUTSTANDING- Hospitality was amazing in every way, and the food was top quality!! Every single person in our party was raving about it. I cannot say enough about this place - in fact I'll be adding more to my review later about how excellent this place actually is! Thank you Frankie & Johnys!
Let me tell you, If you could only have seafood once a year, Frankie & Johnny's is no doubt your destination! They take great pride in the preparation of their food and it shows with each and every bite. My tastebuds can attest to this! Even if seafood isn't for you, their menu has an assortment of delicious meals. I went with the seafood scampi, but understand I was also looking at the pork across the way! Everything just looked so good that our party of 7 was giving out samples to each other. It's the real deal.
Aside from the food, Frankie & Johnny's set up is very comfortable. It's as if they've invited you into their well kept luxurious home. As we all know, HOMECOOKED MEALS ARE THE BEST! When it comes to deciding if you're going to Frankie & Johnny's, don't question, just GO! You won't regret it.
You wont find better food anywhere in Maine!

It is a bring your own bottle restaurant, They are very accommodating with your beverages (wine).
It’s also cash only...our bill was $90 with a shared app + tip so $110 for an amazing dining experience. In my humble opinion, well worth every cent!
This is the best restaurant in York. Please don't tell anyone because they are already very busy during the summer. So make a reservation. Casual atmosphere, fabulous food. Entrée includes soup or salad and portions are generous. Very generous. We enjoy taking home the leftovers for lunch the next day. It's refreshing to have fine food but not leave hungry. We honestly love everything on the menu. The Pork Delmonico is my favorite and the best I have ever had. They also offer vegan food. And they have accommodated one of my guests with gluten free. What a fun place, with good food and a friendly team and a family feel. We were seated right away (had a reservation), started out with excellent cocktails and a nice menu with many choices. Important to know the portions are quite large, and I believe that the regulars plan on taking leftovers home with them.
We had their famous pork fillets (enough for 2), and roast duck, both delicious. Entrees come with soup or salad and as everything here they are large. Many times restaurants prize quantity over quantity. Not here.
We will definitely be back.
We were staying in York for the weekend found this place. Our experience was fantastic the food was exceptional and the service very friendly and professional.
Fantastic meal and staff that is second to none. Simply amazing! I can't say it enough! Thea and Johnny are AMAZING ON ALL FRONTS!! Accommodating our party, keeping the glasses full and the food was a 20!!! On a scale from 1-10..... It was a 20!!!! By far the best restaurant on the coast from Boston to Portland, nothing even comparable! Love, love , LOVE Frankie and Johnny's!!! If there is only 1 place in New England that is a MUST GO.... Hands down its here!! Thank you all for the greatest Birthday celebration a man could ask for!!
Amazing food and service. Frankie & Johnny's is one of those rare places that serves gourmet food AND large portions. Every single thing I've had there is perfection. Just keep in mind it's BYOB, and cash only. But totally worth it.

We are never disappointed at Frankie and Johnny’s from food to staff, it is a pleasurable evening of dining! For appetizers we has crab cakes, spring roll and seafood chowder and each dish was fabulous. For my meal I had the pork dish and it was not only delicious it was cooked perfectly. My son and niece had the chicken and broccoli, my sister ordered the steak and my husband had the blackened haddock special and each enjoyed their dinning experience immensely!
I would highly recommend this unique dining experience to all!

Outstanding!! Don't be deceived by the modest exterior and decor. The food is terrific! The haddock with lobster tail was excellent. The salads before the meal are unlike any salad I have ever seen. And the service is first class without being overbearing. Highly recommend!
