Review Delaney's Irish Pub - Cape May

Kevin was an excellent waiter. We needed to stay on schedule to catch a trolley tour, and he kept the food coming. I had a cup of the clam chowder and it's as good as the menu says. The turkey club could feed a family of 4! The picture is after a ate a quarter. My daughter had the pizza which was also huge. Very good beer selection as well. Definitely coming back next time we're in Cape May.

Good restaurant, bit overpriced. We visited the pub during lunch time and ordered appetizers, a chicken salad sandwich and the 1.5lb lobster. The wings were good in flavor, however some of them were cold in the middle, meaning they were premaid and not fully heated up which was a little bit disappointing. The lobster was great - easy 10/10. The chicken salad sandwich though was a bit flavourless and is not recommended. The service was really good and came by to check on us regularly or to give refills. Overall, it was a good experience, but a bit pricey in my opinion since not all dishes came out as expected.

We visited during lunch time. Good food and atmosphere. It is located in the Washington Street mall. We ordered fried pickles, pierogies, veggie wrap, chicken wings. Good selection of beer and cocktails. Staff was friendly and service was good. We enjoyed our food and overall experience.

Stopped here for dinner and there was no wait time! Our food came out super fast! Waitress was great. Food was good and they have a big menu. The quesadillas were great. Good prices too

Oh my goodness, the food and atmosphere is very good. Mary our server was very good. She took really good care of us. She recommended the barbarian pretzel which was delicious. My husband had the lobster and I had the lobster roll which was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place.

Last minute decision for dinner. I had clam chowder and crab cocktail. Both were great! The chowder had a seasoning I’m not used to but after the first bite and adjustment of my taste expectation it was very good! Big pieces of clam! Crab cocktail was perfect!! My mom enjoyed her fish and chips! My orange crush cocktail was great! We had a new server so service was slow.

Food was delicious and good portions. Baby back ribs needed to cook a little longer to be more tender.

Staff was friendly, food was tasteful, and we were impressed with how much seating was inside. However, the waitress definitely didn’t know the food on the menu because she told us something about a wrap and it was completely different and not something we really liked. Also, from up top, you hear people screaming and carrying on around the bar … and this was at like 4:30pm. I was surprised they didn’t tell these patrons to bring it down just a smidge.

Had a nice experience at this restaurant. Got to sit outside on a gorgeous day. Our waitress Alana was quick with service and so sweet. The food portions were large. Food overall was good, standard Irish pub food. The honey mustard sauce that came with the tenders was really good! Would recommend!

Had a really nice dinner here this past week with a friend. The staff was great and the food was delicious. I really enjoyed my lobster!

Well above average pub food and good cold beer from the tap. Excellent New England Clam Chowder. Thick and rich with an abundant amount of clams.classic. Great for lunch or late night snack.

Food was good! Well above average for a standard Irish Pub. The NE clam chowder is homemade according to the waiter and I'd be surprised if it wasn't. It was very tasty, seasoned perfectly and has huge chunks of clams and the broth was absolutely delicious. The chicken quesadilla with BBQ sauce was good the sauce had a nice sweet tang to it and the hit pastrami was grilled perfect and as advertised it was stacked high with plenty of pastrami. Pickles and chips were a nice touch. Overall had a really good experience and the hostess and waiter while both very young were very respectful and happy while serving and seating us. Sit outside and enjoy the wonderful view of everyone strolling by on Washington walk

We were seated outdoors immediately at 5:30 on a Tuesday evening. My husband had the Bangers and Mash and enjoyed it and I had the chicken salad, coleslaw and fruit. My portion was huge and reasonably priced. I took home about half. Waitstaff was attentive and we enjoyed people watching while we ate.

We arrived at 430 busy but not crazy. We didn't even get our jackets off and were being asked what we wanted to drink. The waitress was very nice but she was rushing us to order. Also get rid of the plastic cups for water. Dinner was good I had the 1 1/2 lobster.. hubby had stuffed lobster tails and we shared a ceaser salad. There was no reason to rush us. But it was good overall

I had the worst waiter. The food was not the best. I would never eat there again...

We went for a bite/early dinner on St. Patrick’s Day. We were seated in a tiny booth next to the bar. There were people standing behind people seated at the bar, so we basically had to deal with somebody’s butt in our view the entire time. We thought it must’ve been booked solid but when I went to the restroom upstairs, there was plenty of open tables up there, and it was much more quiet there. I wished we were given the choice to sit upstairs. Our waitress looked depressed and like she would rather be anywhere but there. We ordered French onion soup, which was ok, but the onions didn’t seem cooked enough. We ordered a burger and asked if it came with fries. No, it came with chips. No problem, we’d like to order onion rings then. Our burger came, but no onion rings. The waitress finally came back and we asked where the onion rings were and she said she didn’t hear us say we wanted any, which is crazy, because we specifically asked what the burger came with and since it wasn’t fries, we asked for onion rings too. She asked if we wanted to order the onion rings then. Since we were almost done, we figured why bother at that point. The beer was not super cold. It just really was a bit of a disappointment. I doubt we’d go back.

The food was so good! Got the veggie burrito all fresh veggies! The staff was so friendly JP is the best!!

Food was great. Steak was delicious!!! I highly recommend the honey bacon wings. That sauce is outstanding.

Took friends from Montana to Delaney's for lunch and they loved the food just as I told them they would. The food was great and the service was outstanding. It was also great to see a few old CM friends whom I haven't seen in a while. I definitely recommend Delaneys to all my friends!

We had a party of 8. They accommodated us fast and seated us together. Bar area was busy and the atmosphere was 🎉. Waitress was excellent. Good drinks. Food was excellent. Fast. Prompt. Hot. Little pricey but was worth it. Thanks.

Food was delicious we had a seafood fra diablo with just the right amount of heat bit service felt rushed

Very nice atmosphere,. Nice selection of beer. We ordered picking food . Wings,beef nachos and clam strips. Wings were awesome but the nachos and clam strips were ok.

Place was packed. We did get in fairly quick. Our waitress Kristen couldn’t be politer. She was on her game. The ribs were great we also had burgers and a salad. It was 8:30 by the time we got it. The cooks just need to pay attention to more detail as our waitres specified how we wanted our meat cooked. But other than that all was well. But to Fair it’s ridiculous you only get chips with your burger. I wanted to order fries but due to allergies they use the same fryer as the fish and shrimp etc. they need to invest in a separate fryer. Food allergies are very common. For the outrageous prices you pay for a burger you should get fries or a side salad. Not a bag of chips!!

Great location, great food & excellent service. Really enjoyed my lunch with my family. Second time I’ve been there. Food is always excellent & so is the service everyone got excalty what they wanted for lunch.

Had burgers, food was good but not great and too pricey for what you get. Burgers come with pickles and chips...the chips were a school cafeteria bag of Wise - really lame!

Good portions and good food. Service was great. Burgers tasted fresh and were very big. Roast beef sandwiches are very meaty. Taylor tots and a bacon cheese sauce were excellent.

Great atmosphere, love the appetizers even as the meal.
