Bottom line: I'd eat here again without hesitation. Perfect for anyone looking for local color and fabulous, simple food at a decent price. I had the fried flounder, which was delicious and an abundant portion. Hush puppies were also excellent. Do not eat here if you're looking for wine & cocktails with your meal. Alcohol seemed limited to beer. No bar that we could see. Likewise don't eat here if you're looking for white glove table service. Maybe it was because we ate here at end-of-season and they were done with tourists, but the service was--shall we say--direct and kind of blunt. But, we were in search of good food, walking-distance from our lodging, and Sting-Ray's delivered.

The last few times we have gone here the quality has diminished. My husband and I each got the sausage gravy with biscuits. The gravy was very watered down. It wasn't thick as you would suspect, it was very runny and looked as it it was not made homemade with flour and milk. Now, on a positive note is the cost was certainly affordable and I would say cheaper than what you would spend at McDonalds for breakfast! Anyway, I wouldn't say to not go, but be careful what you order.

A great unexpected spot! We went to Sting Rays for breakfast on a road trip. The food was great! We had the bacon egg and cheese (one on whole wheat toast & one on a biscuit). I would highly recommend the biscuit. The service was great! You wouldn’t think you’d find such a great spot in a gas station - but totally worth the stop!
