Review Riverstone Corner Bistro - Canton

We were passing through on our way back to Tennessee and picked this place solely on reviews. The atmosphere was nice and they were definitely packed, so it must be worth the wait. While we waited for our table to become available, we noticed that the hostess did not practice general hand washing when needed. She had dropped a pen on the floor and shortly after recovering it, she was asking to carry some orders to a table, she did not wash her hands. After we were seated, our servers Allison and Emma were great. Shortly after we received our appetizers, one of the other staff members walked by our table and went to pick up a plate from our table that we weren’t finished with. Mind you none of the staff members were wearing gloves. Once our entries arrived, everything looked amazing. My wife took a bite of her medium rare fillet and the grill marks were severely charred and the taste of burnt was overwhelming. Having reservations of saying anything about it, I tried to cut the outer layer off her fillet attempting to save it. Our servers walked by and asked if everything was okay. They asked if the fillet was too tough and we explained what I was doing. Allison requested that we let her address the cook with our issue and get a new fillet cooked correctly. The same staff member that tried to grab our unfinished plate earlier came to our table to explain why the fillet was cooked like it was. That they use a char grill and it is supposed to have char marks. We should not have had to defend our reasoning but we did explain that their grill heat must be too high to burn, not sear, a medium rare fillet. The only decent take away from our one and only experience was that Allison and Emma were amazing!

We came for a late dinner after reading good reviews of this place. We were greeted promptly and got seated right away. After scanning a code to pull up the menu, we decided to order a southern fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, the hanger steak and the pork chops. Food came out fairly quick and it was good, just for next time we might tried a different side instead of the sauteed mushrooms. Overall experience was good and will recommend give it a try, however I will probably skip peak hours since there it is limited seats.

We chose this place as a meeting spot with friends, with none of us living in the area. The reviews were great, and we wanted to eat local. This place did not disappoint! Our waitress was excited about all of the food they serve, and it seemed like basically everything was made from scratch!! We loved the rosemary bread appetizer. Everyone really enjoys their meals...we had the fried chicken dinner, fried green tomato sandwich, and french dip. The sweet potato fries are also great, as they come with a deliciously sweet dipping sauce. They ended our meal with a free brownie sundae since it was our first visit. Such hospitality, and that brownie was divine! This will definitely not be the last time we visit, even though it's almost two hours away!

Stopped by here on our way home back to Alabama, and wow! Everything was great. We got the RCB burger, chicken pot pie, and my niece got the chicken fingers. Amazing! Laid back atmosphere, my draft beer was ice cold, and our waitress Adrienne was top notch, we couldn’t be any more pleased with her. We could tell she loved her job and wanted to be the best she could be!

This was my second time eating here. As always, very friendly service and nice atmosphere. Tonight, I ordered the black bean burger with the sweet potato mash, to go. The burger was delicious as usual, however, I don’t know what that was they gave me that was supposed to be sweet potato mash! When I opened the container, the first thing I saw was a lot of grease!! When I tasted the sweet potatoes, I immediately spit it out!! Was that leftover from last year?? I just have to be honest, it was disgusting!

HANDS DOWN THE BEST RESTAURANT IN ALL OF CHEROKEE COUNTY!!! Riverstone Corner Bistro (RCB) is known for its amazing food but until you go in to visit the location your missing out! Family owned and operated you will be greeted at the door like your a part of somthing much bigger than business. Welcomed as family, and treated as if your the only customer in the building! I can’t say enough good things about this place. Food is incredible, staff is amazing and customer service is beyond belief! Love every aspect of this family owned and operated restaurant. Much love! - shrimp and grits is a must try along with a cherry smash!

The food was very good, the service was excellent! Ask for Eddie!! The white wine sangria was wonderful.... It's $5 for white or red any day anytime! The portions are great... It's very clean. It's hard to find places where the service is great and the food... Add being so clean on top of that... This is our new favorite for Canton!!! It's going to be better value than chain steakhouses. The directions on Google will take you to an outback, this is incorrect. If you drive straight past where you would turn into the outback for maybe a quarter of a mile it'll be on the left right beside Moe's!!!

We went here to celebrate our anniversary and it was great! The staff was very nice and the food was really good. Sara our server was amazing. Her recommendations were on point. We will definitely visit again.

Have been to RCB several times and was not impressed with the food! Our service has always been great though. My daughter and I decided to give it another try today 2/9/18 and were greatly disappointed in our food!!! I had the patty melt which was dry and no flavor, the French fries were not hot and fresh and the worst was my daughters fried .chicken sandwich! The breading was not stuck to the chicken and falling off and so much grease that the bun was soggy! I pointed this out to our server to just let the chef know the feedback fully expecting that we would not have to pay for it. It was uneatable. Our server was great and said she would let the chef know. Unbelievably they took $1.34 off our bill. Really? Our server was great and can’t remember her name ! Won’t be coming back or recommending. So sorry 😩and I am certainly not someone who try’s to get out of paying my bill. I live at Lake Arrowhead and we have a great network for feedback on many things!

Some of the best food I’ve ever had. Lots of gluten free options as well. Can’t wait to go back! And our server Brad was THE best! ❤️

See my recommendation elsewhere. This is a fine place to eat with excellent service and yummy food. The price is nice - not dirt cheap, but nice - and the quality is gourmet. Really. You have to try this place!

There’s a good reason why so many locals and many of our friends and family rate RCB so well ... the great service and excellent food choices would satisfy anyone who appreciates great dining at an affordable price!

As always, the food, drinks, staff, and environment was beyond amazing! This is where we spend our date nights, family outings, and any opportunity we get in between. This is our “place”. Highly recommend and love beyond measure!

We went here Friday night for Christmas dinner with a friend. The owner took great care of us. Our waitress was amazing & the food was amazing too. Fried Lobster cooked to perfection. I will tell all my friends about this hidden gem in Canton.

Variety of food is nice, but quality was kind of lacking. Service is also sub-par. Help is hard to find when you need it but drinks will stay full at least. Prices are a bit much as well. $1.29 for a slice of cheese on a burger? I’ll stick to my fast food thanks.

The best place for dinner in canton. Can not go wrong. From ownership to waitstaff, top notch!

We loved everything about RCB! It was our first visit, dinner was incredible, atmosphere was great, music was fantastic, people were super nice. This will be our regular go to for a great meal with friends and family!!! (And the banana cream pie AMAZING!)

I normally get shrimp and grits but was going to try something different and WOW!! I got the burger special that had bacon wrapped prawns, fried jalapeños, chipotle sauce and cheese...I shouldn’t eat for a week!

Went for the first time for lunch yesterday. Obviously a local favorite given how busy it was on a Monday. Seated promptly, offered a sample of a beer on tap and the wait staff was very attentive. Lunch came quickly and was delicious. We will be back!

We have just moved to the area and are discovering new restaurants. We ate at RCB last night and it's become our new favorite place to eat! Everyone was warm and friendly, the atmosphere was lovely, and the food was...INCREDIBLE! My husband had the chicken fried steak and said it was the best he's ever eaten. I had the shrimp and grits and it was fabulous! So creamy and flavorful! And then came dessert! We had the bread pudding and there are no words to say how delicious it was. The portions were generous-I had the half order of shrimp and grits and had to take part of it home. Same for the chicken fried steak. Prices were reasonable especially when you consider it was enough for two meals. We will most definitely be back-soon! 😊

At lunch, it was pretty crowded. For the ones pushed for time, I saw the waitress taking orders while waiting for a table to speed up your service. Great idea. By the time the table was ready, the food was too. And the food is always 5 star.
