Purple Door did a phenomenal job for our wedding! From our initial first chat to the tasting and the big day, the service (and cake) was amazing! I have celiac disease and as a bride I was convinced I wouldn’t be able to have a normal cake tasting experience or be able to have my wedding cake and boy was I wrong! Purple Door Bakery is a local gem tucked nicely in-between other local shops. Staff are always super friendly and eager to assist you and genuinely want to help you either pick a delicious treat they've already prepared or to help you build the perfect masterpiece you have in mind. Pick up a wedding cake, cupcake, cream puff, macaron, cheesecake, fudge, cookie, chocolate dipped Oreo, or any other of the numerous items they offer. You'll be glad you did.

The absolute best.... Especially for people from Canton South as they make the peanut butter brownies they used to serve with lunch at all the schools. The recipe is on point. Great selection and everything tastes amazing. (formerly right across the street from Canton South High School on Cleveland Ave)

We did a cake tasting here in the search to find a bakery to cater our wedding. This place is PHENOMENAL! The cakes are amazing, all of the butter creams and fillings are made FROM SCRATCH. Don't even get me started on the cream puffs because they are absolutely mind blowing. Prices are very reasonable to for the quality of the products. Also the owner is a gem, and a very talented cake decorator if you are looking for a custom cake for a special occasion. EDIT: Dropped the review by two stars for the following reasons. We ordered a bunch of cream puffs, cupcakes, and a small tier cake for our wedding after doing a tasting here. On the day of our wedding the cream puffs were excellent, everybody gobbled those down in short order. The cupcakes were very good with the caveat that the special "Polar Express" cupcakes that we ordered were good but didn't have the special marshmallow filling that we paid extra for. The last and worst mistake was the cake which (we double checked on our copy of the written out order form) was not made according to our order and no where near as good as when we did the tasting. I think this bakery makes good food, and they got us our full order when they said they would, but it wasn't exactly right and it really disappointed my wife on her wedding day.

I recently ordered a variety of cupcakes for my daughters birthday party. The ones with the whipped icing were a big hit. I thought the ones with the buttercream icing were very good but I noticed some of the guests scraped the icing off. Maybe it was too sweet for them. I think $48 for 24 cupcakes was a bit much but well worth it. I will definitely be getting my cakes and cupcakes from Purple door from now on.
