Review Lindsey's - Canton

I am devastated they have to close. One of my all time favorite restaurants. Great food, good prices, waitresses that have been there forever and are the best

First time I've stopped in awhile but I always enjoy Lindsey's. Two or three times a year when I'm in the area and have the time, I enjoy stopping. I always know the type of food and service I'm going to get when I go there. Just a good home style meal at a reasonable price.

the waitress was very friendly and helpful. We go there often and the food is usually tasty but not today. I ordered potato soup which is usually really good. Today it was extremely to salty I couldn't even half of it.

Has a small town feel to the place. I guess it is a small town . the staff seemed friendly, and the food was pretty good, nothing had jumped out at me as amazing but I don't think that they are trying to say that is what they are. But it is a good place for. Reakfast and lunch. Is give it a 3.5. And I would not tell someone not to go their

This is a small family run, diner whose meal portions are large and prices are very, very reasonable. My daughter's and my favorite place to eat out. Staff is exceptionally friendly and we will keep on going there. It's our "go to" place!

The food is always great, great prices. They treat you like family! If you are a first timer they will know your name the next time you visit. Great employees, the way customer service should be at a five star restaurant.

We are from Georgia and just finished at the nfl hall of fame. My family wanted a decent sit down for dinner. Took a chance and was very impressed

I drove past Lindsey's Restaurant a week ago and was reminded that I hadn't eaten there in years. Took my Mom there for lunch yesterday and as expected, the food was excellent, the service was top-notch, and the price was very reasonable. Home style cooking, cozy, friendly atmosphere. I'll have to go there again soon!

Believe it or not I have been going there for 68yrs, in the 50s I actually worked for Mike Rocco part time, it was the Kozy Kitchen then and they had Car Hops, food is still great and the Server's are wonderful, I also know the Owners and they will bend over Backwards to keep the Clientele Happy.

Food is always great , and so is the service. Most of the servers have been there forever and are very good at what they do. Only problem is it's sometimes crowded, but worth waiting for.

The best diner food anywhere!. Lindsey's Restaurant, located on the corner of West Tuscarawas Street and Deuber Avenue S.W. may not look like much from the outside, but the food within is wonderful. A "Mom and Pop" style eatery, Lindsey's serves traditional breakfast fare from 6:00 a.m. (7:00 a.m. on weekends) to 11:00 a.m., including Belgian waffles and four types of homemade muffins, as well as soups, salads, sandwiches and numerous entrees for lunch and dinner. A dry erase board hangs on the wall inside the restaurant announcing the specials of the day and as they sell out, the items are erased from the board. Lindsey's offers traditional American comfort food with many delicious homemade items on the menu.

On my visit, I ordered the French Dip Entree that included my choice of potato and a side dish. The sandwich consisted of tender, shaved roast beef grilled with onions, topped with Mozzarella cheese, then piled into a French roll and served with a cup of au jus. The beef was incredibly tender and the onions were grilled, but not over-done, having just a hint of crunch. A generous portion of cheese was melted over the sandwich and the au jus was delicately flavored and not too salty. The sandwich itself was impressive, but the side dishes were what placed this restaurant on my list of favorite places to eat. All entrees served at Lindsey's come with your choice of french fries, mashed potatoes, a baked potato or home fries. I chose the home fries, a homemade house specialty, and was delighted-these sliced, fried potatoes were lightly browned and crispy on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth, buttery-tender on the inside. Very lightly seasoned and not the least bit soggy or greasy, the flavor of the potato shines through and the simplicity of preparation is what makes this dish so wonderful. I ordered my home fries with gravy, which was good, but these potatoes need no garnish to enhance their perfection. Yes, they were THAT good. For my other side dish, I chose the homemade macaroni salad, a hefty scoop of elbow macaroni mixed with crunchy celery, carrots and green peppers, all folded into a creamy, mayonnaise-based sauce. This dish was also delightful. For dessert, I ordered a slice of homemade Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie, one of seven choices offered that day. The hand-crimped crust was light and flaky, and the filling was creamy with a good balance between the chocolate and peanut butter flavors. My total bill came to only $8.80 and the portions were large enough to require a take-home container for lunch the following day.

With so many chain restaurants in the area, it's wonderful to find a local eatery with so many delicious, homemade items on their menu. While it's not haute cuisine, Lindsey's Restaurant offers generous portions of good old-fashioned home cooking at affordable prices...and what's not to love about that?
