Uncle Johns Pancake House

Great brunch place in bay. The wait for a bit longer than expected. Service was fast but the portions were surprisingly small. We also found the floor and overall table to be a bit dirty and when we requested to get it cleaned, they were a bit reluctant. Food was good, we ordered mushroom and avocado scramble and buttermilk pancakes with chunky monkey toppings. Mimosa and hot chocolate were amazing too. They could improve their portion size, especially for egg dishes.

The pancakes were sooo fluffy and yummy! It's a must have. We had the buttermilk pancakes with chunky monkey topping, definitely recommend. The omlette and scramble had quality ingredients. I loved the hash browns. It was the right amount of crispy and softy ratio. I tried the pineapple juice under fresh juices but it didn't really feel fresh. Would skip it next time. My best advise is to join the yelp waitlist before stepping outta the house, especially on weekends. Overall, good food, great service, neat location. Highly recommend if you are in the area :)

Omelets on point! Pancakes are savory and fluffy. I tried the Jalisco Omelet and had the side of pancakes with a Strawberry and Mango Mimosa. We went on a busy Saturday morning but were seated right away. I have a few things to try here on my checklist but this was a great start! The Jalisco Omelet came stuffed with carnitas, onions, cheese, tomatoes and topped with avocados. The salsa was very good and had a little kick to it to top off the meal. Hashbrowns were nice and crispy and the Mimosa was sweet and cold. Had enough pancakes to enjoy some at home. Can't wait to come back and try something new.
