Review Federal Taphouse - Camp Hill

Very nice. Tons of drink(beer) options a little overwhelming. Happy hour 4-6. Salad was interesting, not what I expected, but tasty! Thought there would be some greens, but the beer I ordered was tasty... i'll have to go back and try a burger or pork bbq or the appetizers. A lot of options, but not cheap. Nice place to dine/grab a drink every so often!

We frequent the FTH often for predictable menu items and a great selection of high ABV beers. The outdoor patio could be the best kept secret, but certainly worthy of a good picture to entice others in the future.

Very complete selection of beer on tap. The beer menu is well organized, assisting in the selection of the beer you want. The food menu has has a good variety of food, with an emphasis pizzas. I had a cup of clam chowder, and it was very creamy, full of chopped clams and delicious. The bar tender was very personable. We'll be going back.

When you first walk in this place appears to be a first-class establishment. I was immediately concerned because it was a Friday night and it was practically empty. That's never a good sign. I sampled three different craft beers. All of them had a strange chemical like aftertaste. I ordered one that seemed the best and thought maybe it was just me. But after drinking it I realized I couldn't finish it because the strange flavor was so prominent and it was in all of the beers. I ordered the Pierogi appetizer. It was delicious. I think perhaps the place wasn't packed because there's something going on with either the tap lines, or the bar wash or rinse for the glasses. Strange experience that I thought should have been incredible because all of the pieces were there but they just couldn't deliver.

Fish tacos were super. The hubs had the brisket sandwich, which he said was excellent, and the upgrade to duck fat French fries was definitely worthwhile. Daft beer selection did not disappoint, and bartenders were very helpful with recommendations. We'll be back!

Good food, good beer selection. Service was good as well. Only big complaint was we ordered a charcuterie board, which was wonderful, but our entrees came out about five minutes after that, so we had no time to really enjoy it, lest our food get cold. The steak tacos were prepared well, with a decent portion.

The Federal Taphouse is a great location for micro brews and the micro brew atmosphere. It’s modern/rustic decor is welcoming and charming. The food is very well prepared featuring a great lineup from top to bottom. I have been there several times and have greatly enjoyed my meal never having the same thing. You can’t go wrong with fries fried in duck fat!
