Review The Sandbar (bar&grill) - Camden

Pork chop was amazing! Porterhouse cut, 1 inch thick, perfectly grilled. It was delicious! Appetizer I had was the zucchini sticks. Freshly made, meaty, and perfectly cooked. Okay bottle selection of main stream beer. Good spirits and super friendly bartender! The 1 star deduction was the veggies were way too salty and overcooked. But next time there will be more sides to try! I'm definitely returning!

Ordered a twice baked potato, received two baked potatoes, and they refused to correct my bill, they still charged me the up charge for the twice baked potato. Which they had figured wrong, charged me the twice baked potato as an a la carte item instead of the difference of the side that comes with the meal and a premium side, should have been around $2 for the up charge not $5! Tried to explain all of this to the server and she flat out refused to correct her mistake. Will not be back, there were other instances leading up to this, but this was the icing on the cake to a terrible experience.

Way over priced. Not worth it at all. Co-workers were all excited about taking me there. They said the steaks were awesome, and that they were regulars. Once we got there they immediately said the place has gone down hill. We'll drinks were 12$ each, 1 small slice of frozen cheesecake was 10$, service was severely lacking. They had 27oz wagyu steak on the board, but when I ordered it they came back and said they didn't have any. I ordered a 22oz bone in prime rib medium rare and loaded mash potatoes with a salad. Received a burnt outside medium to medium well steak where more than half of it was bone, and a baked potato, no salad. Others at the table had similar and worse issues. Our glasses never got refilled until we finally flagged someone down and requested refills. And had to request for my salad. My meal consisted of a appitizer of cheddar cheese balls, burnt 22oz steak, wrong side, salad, tea, and cheesecake total $104.00 including a 15% gratuity on everybodys ticket!!! 60$ for the for the steak, side and salad. Unfortunately this is the only place to eat in this town. So the locals are basically at their mercy unless they want to drive 30-40 miles. I definitely will not be going back to this place or recommending it to anyone, unless they are someone I don't like.

I'm not sure if it was a busy day or we dined at the wrong time. Food was ok drinks were ok as well. Wouldn't go back though it wasn't my vibe. If we weren't so tired we would have driven to the next city.

The bartender was very rude, mean, and hateful to the customers. She showed a lack of class, and that's not good for business. I will NOT be coming back.

The food is overpriced for what it is. All food is greasy or butter drenched, even the salad I got had chicken like that. The pork chops are a favorite of co-workers, and are covered in butter. The waitresses state this is a scratch kitchen, and they do have some neat things like scratch croutons (fried dough). I feel that the food portions are large, but the quality and variety are low. Everything will be fried out butter drenched. Service has consistently been slow over several visits. Update 9/26/18. Had a filet mignon. Good food. Okay service. When bill came, the handwritten bill math didn't add up. There was an extra ~$10 thrown in to the total. After challenging it, it was described as 'part of the tax'. I refused to pay, sent it back with a request to do the math again. Got the same bill back, and the ~$10 disappeared... The total bill then matched the menu price (plus tax, plus $1 fee this pace charges for paying with a credit card.) Basically, I caught then trying to rip me off for $10. Buyer beware

Amazing ribeye. Beats the Michelin star steak I just had in Chicago

This is a nice locally owned restaurant. The lady who owns it Denise does all the cooking probably one of the best steaks in all of South Arkansas if you're ever in Camden and you don't go by there to eat you don't know what you're missing
