The place is neat! Love the atmosphere. Food is at a good price and the pasties are super scrumptious! A great place to go for food in the UP. Our waitress was very friendly as well!
My husband and I absolutely LOVE The Hut! We've never been disappointed, and we have ordered many different things from the menu. What's even more impressive than the generous portions is the wait staff! So friendly, fast and overall amazing! And on those days when we don't want to leave the house, they deliver!! I highly recommend The Hut!!
It was my first time eating here and the food was delicious!! I had the angry chicken sandwich it was the best chicken sandwich I've ever had! This will be our go to stop after camping in cooper harbor!! Service was great, prices were fair and the portions were huge!

just had the nacho supreme and the bacon chicken wrap ... enough left over from both for another feeding ... both were delicious ... thank you and thanks for delivering ...

We stopped on our way to copper harbor july 5th and had lunch. A pasty for me and a rube for my boyfriend. Portions were huge. Food was great. So good we stopped back for dinner on our way back. July 8th. We split a delicious blt and fries. My boyfriend had the chili also. I had some of the best Cole slaw!! The hut will always be a stop for us

The 8oz boneless grilled pork chop is exellent. House salad was a very nice salad.
I had a bad experience there a couple of years ago but last year I decided to give them another shot. Been there at least 4 times since then the food is great,the service has been excellent glad I gave them another chance

Our 1st time here today. FYI, the booths are cute, but are from the beginning of time, so choose a table for stability instead! Looked at the menu ahead of time. I had a roast beef 1/2 sandwiche with Tuscan chicken soup, and husband had country fried steak. He loved his! I loved mine was great too! Enjoy my pictures. Loved our waitress! The decor is crazy in here. Shingles on the INSIDE ceiling!
Cobb Salad was amazing!! It was HUGE!! Waitress was helpful and friendly regarding my food allergies. The place itself needs an update but don't let that stop you. No gluten free buns or bread.
This has been around since I was a kid and I always stop when I’m around the area. Food is decent, it’s a fairly busy place and can be a bit busy. Clean but definitely hasn’t been updated in a while. Kind staff, and lots of memories.
The Hut Restaurant located in Calumet, Michigan is a really good restaurant. The food is good but the service is great. There is plenty of parking. We recommend this restaurant if you’re in this area.

Cozy up north vibes with good hearty servings of well seasoned food. My husband and I split a large roast beef sandwhich, open faced over toasted bread with mashed potatoes and gravy, and it was delicious! Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals and our waitress was quick and kind.
This was a nice place, the floor was a bit dirty but it was near the end of the day also they opened the main doors and i got bit by a lot of mosquitoes; I got to try the roast beef, country fried steak and their bacon liver they’re pretty good except the country fried steak was like a sponge it wasn’t really a steak i guess but the gravy on it was super good the menu has quite a lot of things on it also the Michigan wild rice and mashed potato’s were fine the potatoes kinda tasted instant, the chili was really good not to strong or salty as well as not to bland I came her for my birthday and got free ice cream as well as 15$ off, the waitress was really nice and attentive. Pretty nice place overall and not bad prices for the portion sizes and what comes with them.
Food great, our server was awesome. Booth sitting could definitely use repairs or bring a cushion with you for support to not sink in. Low lighting, but I enjoy it better than a huge bright light in my face especially with migraine.
This is an old restaurant, and it doesn't pretend that it isn't. It embraces it. This adds to the experience. Food portions are huge. Read the menu carefully. I ordered The Hut burger. I didn't realize it was a double patty. This isn't a bad thing, particularly when your children love the fries so much they ask for yours. The burger itself with the side slaw was more than enough food. They were out of most ice cream so my wife didn't get her coveted butterscotch malt. She has been to The Hut since she was a child. My kids were creeper out at first, but loved every minute of their time there.
Another place that if I don't have at least one meal here my vacation doesn't seem complete. Pretty good liver and onions. The Pasty Net Pasties are great to pick up for a lunch on the road.

Restaurant was very clean, service was great! Food was fresh, hot, and plenty to fill you up! We traveled 1,150 miles to give this place a review. It was NOT a disappointment, definitely worth going to!

Home style food in large proportions. The smothered chicken was excellent. Same for the pork chops and liver & onions. Fun rustic atmosphere with excellent service.
Large and filling portion sizes, flavors were decent but wasn't particularly outstanding. The french onion soup of the day definitely kicked off the meal with a punch of flavor, but the chilli soup was bland in comparison. The Danwich was stacked and filling, onion rings were crispy and delicious but the taco salad despite being fresh was lacking in its taco meat seasoning, with ranch and salsa pulling it across the finish line. Service was fantastic and courteous, with a great atmosphere and vibe.
Huge potato skins, full basket of zucchini sticks, daily special was delicious, and the large chopped steak was definitely a hearty serving and the side of wild rice was hearty as well. Super friendly waitress (Lia) with prompt service. Glad we decided to come even though there was a few negative reviews. I would highly suggest when in the area.
I was pleasantly surprised to find decent restaurant way up here. The food was good, service was good, and prices were good. I had a nice piece of walleye, for a reasonable price.
Ordered BLT and onion rings. Generous portions of bacon, choice of bread - had rye. Perfect balance/proportion of Mayo. Generous portion of onion rings. Really neat and quiet environment.
Always enjoy coming back to The Hut. My dad worked here as a teen so I feel like we grew up with it as kids. Food is always good.
