Grit 2c

Food and service were fabulous! I've been wanting to go here for some time because it always looks busy, and the Google Maps algorithm kept suggesting it. I was not disappointed! I get Cuban Sandwiches anytime I see them on a menu. The flavors were a great mix of all the right notes (including the jalapeño cheez whiz!), and the textures were spot on. I only wish we had a table further away from the front door as it was a cool and windy day. We got a blast of it every time someone entered or exited. We could have asked for another table, but they were very busy. Looking forward to going again!

The food was excellent. Service was great. We had shrimp and grits and fish and chips. Yummy. The restaurant isn't very big and incredibly loud. We were there during lunch hours. The food seems classier than the somewhat "cafeteria" style seating. We are not a fan of high ceilings in restaurants - they tend to be even louder than most restaurants. And kind of a bummer there were no booths. Next time we'd get take out, because the food is awesome!

We had a group of 22 having dinner after our daughter had a quick marriage ceremony down by the creek. We had been to this restaurant a few times prior to this and had always been impressed, but after seeing how they handled our large party, I am beyond impressed. The tables were set up beautifully, our wait staff was incredible, and the food & drinks..WOW!!! Even with the rest of the place being busy and with our party, the quality of the food , drinks, and service were superb. Everyone had to-go boxes and later that night we all enjoyed our leftovers. Keep doing what you're doing GRIT and thank you so much for making our day, and our daughter and new son in laws day a wonderful success.

Best steak I've paid money for. I've traveled extensively for work and eaten in some top end and top rated restaurants, some beloved local places, and even a few Michelin Starred locales. When I say "best steak I've paid money for" I'm using a very broad measure of comparison. My wife loved her meal. My nine-year-old loved her meal. Other guests enthused vigorously about their meals from the next table. The atmosphere was warm, the service was excellent, but THE FOOD. My God, the food. This is the best restaurant in Caldwell. Their plaza neighbors included. The next time we go down to Indian Creek Plaza, I can assure you it is Grit 2C that we look forward to visiting.

Grit 2C is an great place to eat. The food is delicious and the beer is very good. I had the 90 Shillings which is what they use for the batter in the beer battered fish. I also had the beer battered fish. The portions were very generous. The fish was excellent although the battered was only crisp at the ends. It was good I am just saying. They only provided a small cup of tarter sauce so if you like tarter sauce ask for extra. The restrooms were clean and the staff was very nice. Our server Meagan was really good. The food was served promptly and was hot. She kept the our water glasses full. It was not crowded when we arrived at 4:30 on a Saturday but before we left it was full. There are no handicapped parking spaces by the enterance of the restaurant and the doors are not automatic but once inside there is plenty of open space to move around. If you are in downtown Caldwell check it out.
