Review La Paz Mexican Seafood Restaurant - Calabasas

Edward Mitchell
I've been to a number of up-scale steakhouses in my life, so I have a fairly good judgment of them. This was definitely on the top. I came here with family and a few family friends for our traditional day-after-thanksgiving dinner outing - because ya know, we haven't eaten enough yet for the weekend. We were seated in a back private room (available for closed door - which was a little creepy to me but nice option i suppose).

We started with the Queso Fundido and 1/2 dozen oysters on the half shell. I had the chicken/beef fajitas and my boyfriend had the Soup of the Seas. OMG!!! Everything was amazing. Sergio, our server, was on point. His timing was impeccable. Our food arrived in a timely manner and we didn't feel rushed to eat. Not only that, but Sergio has a great personality as well. We'll definitely be back for some more amazing food!

We had a lovely dinner at La Paz, plenty of space and distance. We felt very safe and had a great dinner. Great ceviche and amazing salsa and chips! The margaritas were delightful. Our family has always loved this restaurant, so glad we can continue to support this Calabasas institution.

You definitely need to come here !!! The waiter was so warm and welcoming to guests. We all tried different types of main dishes: pasta, risotto, roast beef and ravioli. Everything was cooked to perfection. But the best part was dessert. Everyone loved tiramisu. This place made us all feel right at home.

Great place to meet more friends. Mr. Oscar and Ms. Gretta are super friendly and been in the neighborhood for decades. Open for dining today @ 2pm. Check out their cocktails and margarita special. Fabulous setting for get-together, reunions, company functions, retirement parties. Mr. Oscar Iturralde can cater any style, all American BBQ, Mexican, and fusion. Don't miss Sunday Brunch. Most popular local spot on Sunday to meet new friends, reacquaint with old associates, and family reunions. You'll certainly love staffs' hospitality and customer services at La Paz. Keto diets and diabetic friendly dishes would be nice for customers with dietary restrictions.

Been wanting to try this spot forever and glad I finally made it! Would highly recommend to friends looking for a chill place to drink wine and eat amazing pizza and pasta. Their poached egg pizza is the best I've ever had. Cute decor and ample outdoor seating makes this place a great date night spot too!

Sat outside in some beautiful weather for a great brunch. Started with the arugula tostada and the cod churros. They were a bit salty for my taste, but still good. Then shared the pork belly salmon sandwich. It was mouth-watering as were the fries. Solid choice!

We have been going to La Paz for well over 20 years. Naturally, the food and drinks are great but it's the people who bring us back! Abraham has been our waiter for literally 99 percent of our visits, and although the entire staff is fantastic he has become someone we consider a friend! We recommend La Paz to everyone!

There is much to say about this place. The food, the service, the athmosphere always PERFECT! It doesn't matter what time of the day you go, the food is always amazing. I have hosted dinner & lunch parties here and the owner Oscar has always gone far & beyond to make every event perfect. But if you have to chose one time of the day to go, I HIGHLY suggest their Sunday brunch, OMG, it's by far, the best in the valley.

All I can say is that food is exquisite, very flavorful, I had a very good experience at this place. Am I coming back?..... Of course I am. Should I recommend this place? Definitely 100%

I've been coming here for years. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. Best all around Mexican food in the Conejo Valley, but specializing in Yucatan seafood dishes. Maybe my favorite aspect is that the owners, husband & wife Oscar & Greti are very hands-on and committed to customer satisfaction. Try their happy hour M-F 4-7 pm featuring drink specials & a free appetizer mini-buffet. I hit that once a week!

Simply loved this place. Highly recommend it, an experience that is not experienced anywhere else and the staff is super nice. Sundays are the days to go

Not the best Mexican food, the brunch for $35 per person was not worth it. Only thing good was the all you can drink champagne.

Love this place. Food is really, really good as are their Cadillac Margarita's (one drink is all you want as they are generous with their alcohol). Portions are quite large so you usually have another meal to take home. Everyone is friendly. Best table side guacamole I've ever had....

I used to go to this place much until they started using taco shells out of the box, this was a huge disappointment. This place makes a great margarita but this is all

Great food & time. I've been there many times for lunch ordered off the menu or the Friday lunch buffet. Dinner too. The Sunday brunch is the best value in town. We've done it many times and yes it can get crowded. You know why it's crowded? Because the food is so good. People line up out the door to get in, it's that good. The $30 price includes your meal, drinks, tax and tip. Subtract your drink cost and the tax and tip and your bill for the food is around $10 for brunch. You get all the regular breakfast stuff, waffles, omelettes, eggs, pancakes. You also get prime rib, ham, garlic fish and shrimp. All the Mexican type food you want too. Soup, enchiladas, porks, chicken, beef, regular salad, tacos and dessert. The quality is excellent and the service is great too.

The staff is friendly and efficient. Portions are large enough to expect leftovers to take home for later. Drinks are strong. Stop by for happy hour and enjoy the happy hour buffet.

Dreaming of goat. I miss La Paz. Since we've moved, I've found several fantastic Mexican restaurants, but I still sometimes wake up craving mole from La Paz.
