The pulled pork sandwich was on point. It is messy as all get-out, but worth it. The meat is smoky, cole slaw is creamy and I got the medium (not sweet) sauce. It was phenomenal.
I wasn't expecting to get it, but I saw them pull a Jalapeno Cheddar link ot of the oven and it looked too good to pass up. It had a good snap, a bit hot (I'm a bit of a wuss when it comes to heat). The flavor was awesome. Of course, I ordered two main dishes, so I ate one later (minus the bite I had at the table).
Honestly, my husband got the brisket. It was decent, and while I like a good brisket, I would opt for the pork or link if you are unsure. I've had the ribs before and they are also yummilicious.

Took my 85 year old f-i-l and he ordered a super jumbo sandwich with slaw & potato salad. The guy that took our order (I'm assuming the owner) came around a little bit later and commented that he didn't think that Wayne could eat all the sandwich plus sides ��� Wayne only weights about 155 soaking wet so who knows how he does it. Sandwiches were loaded up with meat and were delicious. However I was not impressed with the potato salad & slaw was mediocre at best. F-i-l gave it 5 stars tho, he enjoyed the entire meal.
So we stopped here on a drive from Russellville and the food was great! Even better customer service! I ordered a water and not thinking i just got Dr Pepper and half way through the meal this light bulb went on that Ididn't pay for my Dr Pepper so I paid for it. Now you know they must have been thinking wow can't believe she did that! But it was obvious they thought it through and would rather give me a Dr Pepper than to embarrass me! Haven't had that kind of service in a while.

I've had barbecue all over Memphis, and many places in Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, and Arkansas. This is easily among the best. I was very impressed with their patented hickory smoked beans. They were naturally smoked and contained several surprising ingredients. I had a jumbo pork sandwich with cole slaw and the hot sauce.
They have sweet, mild, medium, hot, 911, and Shut Up Juice - the latter was featured on Man vs Food, and was not featured on my lunch.
The hot sauce was sweet with a respectable heat. The pulled pork was well smoked had an interesting dry rub - it would have been very good even without any sauce at all. All-in-all we were extremely pleased, and look forward to the next excuse we have to go to Cabot.
If you haven't eaten here, you're missing out! I had the pork bbq sandwich & smoked mac & cheese ... oh my gosh!! Thank you!
Being from Minnesota this was the first BBQ place I've had in the "South". I've tried a lot of BBQ places in the 6 years I've lived here and The Mean Pig is by far the best BBQ restaurant hands down. I have personally been blessed to meet the owner of this place and I can tell you he is one hard working man! He puts all the love he's got into this food, his workers, family and friends. And on top of that he's there for his customers. He welcomes everyone with this big smile and a hug. And this is why I will continue to be a #1 fan of this restaurant. Oh and a BBQ sandwich with "slaw" on it is AMAZING!!

I moved out of Arkansas in 2002, but every time I’m in Arkansas I make sure to stop at The Mean Pig. Over the years the price has only slightly gone up. But the food and the service remains Excellent. They always make me feel like family when I walk through the door.
I have always had wonderful service here! My favorite is the pork sandwich! I will keep my sauce mild and never want to even think about their challenge. The only thing I want to burn me is the sun ! Although, I have heard that the shut-up juice is almost as hot as the sun -but I will just take people at their word.
The best BBQ in the state. I have never had a bad experience there.
I was with my wife and family visiting in the area from Detroit last weekend when we decided to purchase family meals to feed about 17-20 people. The lady who took our order was extremely helpful and polite as my wife ordered from the car on the way down the day before we needed the dinners. We ordered the pulled pork with sides of beans, Cole slaw, and potato salad. There was plenty of pork, large buns, and sauces. Everything was delicious (though the meat was a little salty for me; I'm also a big fan of eggs and mustard in my potato salad, but otherwise was good...). We will definitely go again when we're in the area!....(shout out to the guitar player from the 'zoo, MI!)

I first visited this restaurant with my family. I went there at 7pm but it wasn't crowded on that day. There is a pork bench in front of the store, and there are a few tables and chairs that can be eaten outside. It felt warm to eat outside in the warm season. Enter the shop and there is a counter on the left side. There is a menu at the top. I ordered a rib this day. You can also choose the side menu, I ordered the beans. The rib ordered spicy taste and the rib sauce was sweet. This combination is very delicious. The beans have a solid bean shape, so you can enjoy the texture and flavor. Unfortunately, the ribs were cold, so I wanted to eat freshly baked.
But people are very friendly and helpful!

私は初めて家族とこのレストランに訪れた。夕方7時に行ったがこの日は混んでいなかった。お店の前には豚のベンチがあったり、外で食べられるようにテーブルと椅子も少しだけ置いてある。それは暖か季節に外で食べると良いと感じた。お店の中に入り、左手側にカウンターがある。上部にメニューがある。私はこの日はリブを注文した。サイドメニューも選ぶことができ、私はビーンズを注文。リブはspicyな味をオーダーし、リブ用のソースはsweetを選んだ。この組み合わせは非常に美味しい。ビーンズは豆の形がしっかり残っているので食感と風味良く味わうことが出来る。リブは残念ながら冷めていたので、私は焼き立てを食べたかった。
