Great customer service, great delivery time, they remember regular customers and what they order. They always have a treat for the dog.
Bonanza Freeze is the consession stand to the perpetual carnival that is Butte. I don't know of a lot of places you can get cotton candy and funnel cake fries any time you like. Every time I babysit, I start off by picking up a few treats here, and I look like a rockstar.

What can you say about the bonanza freeze. It is a Butte icon and when the family goes back to visit, it is dessert every night. Love the bonanza freeze.

Very popular dive through for food and ice cream. The chocolate was not super rich but more creamy. The strawberry shortcake Sunday was also light and delicious. It had a sponge cake on the bottom, nice soft vanilla and the strawberries on top simply tasted freshly frozen/thawed and not that super sugary thick syrup fruit. So it was great! Prices were very reasonable.
Has a really large menu for the small little place that it is. Their Ranch dip is really yummy, and is definitely necessary if you are getting the pizza stick or Bosco. Both are flavorless.
Ice cream is good. If you go on Wednesday, the cones are super cheap! Mine was $1.
Kids cheeseburgers were surprisingly really good.
I am torn on the service being great, or bad. When we first pulled up (january 2022) it was really icy, so a man came out and put ice melt salt at both the passenger and driver doors. He also helped answer a question about the menu and gave a reccomendation. I was sure I was going to leave a 5 star review before we even ordered because of that guy.
But then the window staff service was probably 2 star quality and some of the food was definitely not worth it, so I decided on 4 stars.
A great classic restaurant we would call retro if it weren't there so long. You will love their food, so much better than fast food. Their sweet drinks are amazing on a hot day.
Bonanza Freeze is a great old time drive in. Great inexpensive food some unique foods. I loved the wiener tots. There may be a song about them, so I was told. The service was amazing they were polite and friendly. Lots of stuff to try, next time I think I will try the pork chop sandwich.
The place was busy when we got there (for a good reason). Bonanza Freeze is a gem! Great food, yummy desserts and fantastic service! All that and cheap as well! Don't miss it if you're passing through!!
We're staying in Butte for a few days and found this place online. Ordered a cheeseburger and gravy fries to share, plus a malt and a shake for delivery to our hotel. The driver got here 10 minutes faster than quoted and he was friendly. The food is amazing, drinks are incredible. My husband's malt was gone pretty fast haha. All for under 20 bucks even with delivery fee and tip. Awesome! Excellent find.
Loved that they had good pebble-ish ice! It was rather challenging trying to find any kind of pebble ice in Butte. Didn't like that they wouldn't sell a bag of ice. Only cups. Was grateful Ifinally got the cups though. <3
