My Mother, Martha Padilla used to work at the up town John's PC for many years (Jr high/high school yrs).. as my parents Still Live in Butte, every time we go visit, the 120 Miles, lol.. we ALWAYS get our fix... and my children now adults do the same, we'll my son, daughters a vegetarian lol, but all the same it's our go to place to eat...Although the patties are much thinner then they were back then.. lol Still a mighty tasty place to eat..

Copied all over the world but never topped. One of my favorite sandwiches. And love the personal feel of sitting at the counter. Workers patiently chatted with my 3 yr old.
Hole in wall downtown not much seating but man oh man are pork chop sandwiches the bomb diggity. Haven't changed a thing in years nor do they need to, will be back someday!!!
The food was delish! And the ladies there Sheila and Gina were the most hospitibale folks we met in MT for sure! We need a franchise in Alabama. See you all next time!

You can't beat this pork chop sandwich. They are famous all over the country. If you ever find yourself in beautiful Butte make sure to take a detour to the Uptown shop!
I grew up on these sandwiches growing up. It comes with whatever you want to put on it. The fries are yummy and come with a white sauce or ketchup. Not sure what is in the white sauce but it is tasty. I have tried others and not liked them as well.

Places to eat in Montana: Kala and I finally made it to John's in Butte, MT. It is a Pork Sandwich joint and they were AMAZING!! I really recommend it! They pork is super juicy and fried to perfection!!
I really recommend getting the pork sandwich with a side of pork nuggets.
Also, they were introduced on an awesome show we watch and follow called Backroads of Montana!!
7 out of 10 on Pork Chop Sandwich. Onion Rings were good but the fries were a bit soggy. Overall was pretty good and I would eat there again.
Perfect spot for a quick bite. Small shop with no seating areas, but definitely big flavors!! Got the pork chop sandwich which was delicious and good portion. Also ordered the pork nuggets and got the white sauce (garlic sauce, perfect with the nuggets and fries). Will certainly miss this place.
Great place to eat with yummy food and two wonderful sister who served us as though we were family♥️ We got the Pork Chop Sandwiches with amazing fries and some nuggets with the White Sauce plus a milkshake. So good! We got lucky that the place was empty when we came so we were able to sit inside and enjoy our meal until we were stuffed! This is absolutely a place we will return to and will be recommending to family and friends who travel through Butte as well! This place has been open for 90 YEARS and we can see why!

I was a little skeptical but the fried pork chop sandwich (with raw onion and pickle) was delicious. The service was great too.

The service was top notch, staff was very friendly gave us great information for our first tour of Butte. The porkchop sandwich was nice,crispy, freshly made. Menu prices were cheap. The sandwich was $5.
