We love the Som! The new owner has made some great improvements to this local classic without changing the things we all love. In addition to the world famous Som Burgers, they're offering an interesting and eclectic mix of new food items and specials including the best damn green chile pork you've ever tasted! (I lived in Colorado for 9 years - I know my green chile pork!) New events including live music and trivia night, late night food specials and more. The Som has a great vibe, the best staff, and always a friendly and fun loving crowd! You gotta stop by!
As a long-time patron of the Sombrero, I was excited/wary about the change to The Som.
Excitement wins out! The bar retains it's friendly, welcoming vibe and adds actual "cuisine" to the food offerings. I always liked a good Somburger back in the day, but Eric Lee's fare really upscales "bar food" while keeping it accessible with late-night specials and just all around great food.
The addition of trivia night and occasional bands bring in more folks who quickly become regulars. Great, great improvements to the rear deck area, and the entertainment space is top-notch.
I don't live in Burlington any longer, but visit regularly, and The Som has become like another family member one must check in on. A great spot isn't just good beer selection, good drink specials, great food and a neat space, it's all those things pulled together by great people. That's The Som.
I love The Som! Their burgers are always on point. My family from out of town even loves them! Hands down the best burger in town. I'm loving the unique new specials, my personal faves so far are the Falafel & veggie burger!!! I'm also a huge fan of the TOTS. Also, the bacon fat Chex mix is da bomb dot com! I think it's so great that The Som is throwing some awesome events. It's what this town needs. Also, the photography for the food is so amazing.
New owner is kicking it up a notch. The burger is a staple & the best around. You won't be disappointed if they have a "special". Order the Special!
I love the Tuesday and Friday specials! There is always layers of flavor in the dishes. The downtown area in Burlington has really grown in popularity partly due to The Som's food and great staff!
A weekly place for dad and the family to visit. Our local watering hole. Great food. Great staff! Feels like home!!

Got caught behind a big group yesterday, so good came slowly but the server attended to our beverages and kept us informed. Food was very good. Recent updates to decor were well done.
Our favorite place in Burlington!! We love going there for the great food, cheap drinks, and good company!! You have to get some cheeseballs & a coach burger!! We will miss The Som and their awesome staff!!

Hands down the best tenderloin sandwich in existence. The beer is always cold, and there is always a familiar face at the bar. Any time is a good time at the Som!

My favorite is the grilled pork tenderloin and the French fries are the best in Burlington!!! Our favorite bar to go to after work.

Finally a restaurant around here that speaks my food language 🔥🔥🔥 The food is creative and delicious, and the prices are fantastic. The place is full of lively families and fun music. A big screen projector for the sports enthusiasts, and a pleasantwait staff. I was really looking forward to trying The Som, and they did not disappoint. I want to be BFFs with the chef! ❤

As we arrived we were greater cheerfully and warmly.
I'm disabled and often times these smaller places can be difficult to get into. Not so at The Som!
Our waitstaff, Megan and Clayton were friendly and very attentive. The food and drinks came out quickly and the food was prepared perfectly.
The drinks never stopped flowing. They were always full.

Will I eat here again? Absolutely!

This place was absolutely amazing. Family got the poke tacos, fish tacos, steak nachos, hand pressed burger, etc and all was very very good. All staff we interacted with were super nice and helpful. Will definitely be visiting again when we come back to Burlington.
I had the best fish tacos at The Som for lunch today. They were blackened and the slaw and sauce were amazing! You know a meal was great when you can't stop thinking about it and you can't wait to go back!
