Temazcal Burlington

I love the lunch on Friday. I hope to see more lunch times open. You get 3 dips with the free corn chips. The bean dip is my favorite! However, the red salsa is yummy too with anything. The last salsa is a sweet green one. Now for appetizer, you need to try the beef short ribs empanadas! They are so good and so fresh. I love how the meat is so tender and flavorful like sinking your teeth into a piece of fudge. Honestly. Never have I been unhappy here.

Food poisoning and bad customer service.. I went last Saturday for dinner with my mom and brother. We all enjoyed our dinners and had a great time. Our waiter was good too. Unfortunately my mom was up all night with food poisoning. She had the Tacos Mechados. Her stomach is still recovering a week later. She’s been eating bland foods all week. I feel so bad for her. I sent Temazcal a customer service note on their website last Sunday to let them know what happened. It’s been a full week and I haven’t received any response from them. I know the restaurant industry is still struggling since Covid but stuff like this is unacceptable. I rarely go to restaurants with my family and it’s too bad a fun night out resulted in this.

The carne empanadas appetizer was so good with the veggies on the side and the aioli. I wish it came with more than two! The fish tacos were also delicious and filling. The rice had good seasoning and I enjoyed it. Edit: came for dinner last night and the rice was dry and had a weird lingering texture that stuck to my mouth. Fish tacos were delicious. The salmon taco, although yummy, was very difficult to keep together. Everything ended up falling out/apart and I just ate it with a fork. Churros were also good with the chocolate sauce- caution it was extremely hot on the inside when it just came out. It came with 4 pieces was drizzled underneath eith caramel sauce.

I went a month or two ago and had a pleasant experience. I wish the bar was bigger and had a more exciting vibe, but the chicken fajitas were *amazing* and Mackenzie was such a good bartender. She was friendly, and considerately made me a peach margarita even though it wasn't on the menu. It was probably one of the best margaritas I've ever had. The other bartender was also quite attentive, but I cannot remember her name!

My husband and I ordered take out tonight to try this restaurant for the first time and we were very disappointed. For the price the food was not very good. We had asked on the phone for one minor substitute for a menu item and they wouldn’t accommodate. Got two orders of queso, one with chorizo and one without and upon opening the container there was an entire level of oil on both that was unsettling. Food was blah … not impressed and wouldn’t go back.

Well, I tried to honest and helpful with my reviews. I had a really bad time here today. The lady was so impatient and put us on pressure to order. My friend asked 3x no cheese and we got with cheese. Very disappointed. I’m giving 5 stars, because I had great time another time, but today zero won’t be enough.
