Zacks is a must visit if you want fast good hotdogs and burgers. It's a Burlington icon. The waiters and cashiers are not very friendly but they are fast and busy.

Zacks is one of the best hot dog places I know. I love their chili dogs and usually get two southern style with chili, slaw, onion and mustard. My wife and I stop here any time we can on our way from Cary, NC. French fries are thick and good. Sweet tea is among the best.

Very good place to eat with really good service. My second time here both very memorable. I had a hot dog and hamburger with fries, all delicious. Don’t forget to try the zack sauce, it’s hot and spicy yummy! We’ll be back again!

Two chili cheese dogs "all the way", fries, and a bottled Cheerwine.
First of all, this place is cash only, so be prepared. Also prepare yourself for the chili dog. I typically don't like onions on mine, but I decided to go "all the way" with slaw, onions, cheese, and chili. The slaw cuts the onions well and I barely had any onion aftertaste. The dog and bun were plump and soft respectively, but how they should be, and the chili is perfectly simmered and runs over the dog just right. A dab of the secret hot sauce gives it a nice kick of peppers if you're looking for that. The fries were fried just right, but otherwise nothing special. The bottled drinks really complete the experience.
Burlington should be proud of this place. You don't see this kind of place around much anymore and there's a reason why this one is still standing.
