Obsessed. My friends and I had dinner nearby and then we were taking a walk and even though we were pretty full from our lovely dinner, I needed to stop here. We got a couple of desserts, the princess cake and a cake that was on special. I really really wanted to buy their chocolate almond coffee cake but I resisted, until this weekend. When I went back. And got the chocolate almond coffee cake. Let me be clear, the chocolate almond coffee cake is absolutely amazing. I had to cut it up and give it to friends or I would have eaten the whole thing! I could eat anything and everything in this place.

Had to get in a line only to be handed the menu when it was my time to order. Had no idea what to pick as I did not know what they had so I asked the rude cashier a couple minutes and to let someone else order before I was ready.
When I was finally ready they had my order wrong (asked for salad on the side of my pastrami sandwich and they sent fruit salad) and they completely ignored that I ordered a hot chocolate and didn't send anything at all. At that point was pretty annoyed to complain or ask for replacement so I just let it go.
The sandwich was okay but not sure I would come back. There are likely good breakfast places out there.

For a bakery built on Danish heritage; the cheese danish is quite lacking. The puff pastry was dry and bland. The filling, sour, and barely sweet.
The coffee is good as are the other non-puff pastries. It’s a cozy place. But needs some work.

I requested that each pastry be bagged for hygiene's sake and they added ribbon as it happened to be a special occasion (like my father turning 100 years old and I can't be there because of Covid and I live out of town). Thank you. Absolutely the best!!!

Okay, almost 2 years of Covid, and so much loss, change, challenge for everyone locally & globally. I needed a special cake for my mom's upcoming 80th birthday cake, and many bakeries have had to completely lower their production rate, hours-days, etc. A friend had shared with me recently a wonderful Scandinavian delight of a cake, The Princess Cake. It was love at first bite (and sight). What a charming place, where you can tell it has been the heart and soul of downtown Burlingame for a long time. My hubby and I drove up the 280 from the south bay this morning to surprise The Birthday Mum/Queen with a Princess Cake, and it was out of this world beautiful. The taste? Exquisite. We may pop up the 280 more often just to enjoy the foods and ambiance of this darling gem. Thank you Copenhagen Bakery for making my mom's special day most memorable, even during these very hard times.

They really do the most for their customers. Ordered a German chocolate cake, thinking the coconut would mess up the image, but they made it work SO WELL! My father-in-law loves it! Thanks!

My family and I LOVE this place! They have an amazing selection of parties, cupcakes, and for any holiday they have a fun selection of sugar cookies that my daughter loves. I happen to love their cinnamon nut ring and cheese danish. They have beautiful cakes too.
In the past we enjoyed eating breakfast here as well.

European bakery in the heart of silicon valley.
Sublime Princess Cake and Hazelnut express and rum cake and on and on..
Wash it down with a large selection of fresh brewed coffee.
Good sugar and caffeine high. Breezy ambience. Always packed and noisy. Good service. Just a perfect neighborhood bakery.
