Mawadda Cafe Burien

I’m usually very spectacle about trying new places, And I never write very good reviews unless I have tried the place multiple times to be sure I’m not setting anyone up for disappointment, I have now tried Mawadda Cafe (In Burien/Burien location) multiple times. And I loved it. The food was delicious and wait times vary for business, I’ve seen in many peoples reviews from many different restaurants giving low rating and bad reviews because of service or wait time without putting consideration into how busy they are, which is why I went multiple times and still every time the food was delicious, never disappointed. Though they were busy a few of the times I went the man I spoke to was very kind which was also a plus. I really recommend this place! Especially if you like Mediterranean food. So delicious!

I visited "Mawadda Café twice now on Saturday's, while I was in the area doing other errands. I was hungry and wanted to try them out. I ordered the Gryo with freshly made tzatzizi sauce. And regular fries, not the Greek fries/with feta, through they are on the menu!" When it was brought to my table, I thought" that really looks good. Did not disappoint, it was excellent!!! Best Gyro I ever had. Use to live in Seattle with other Greek restaurants near home, but I feel again food here far better. The portions were generous, more then I could finish. Some left over fries, the Gyro had lots of meat so got full stomach, but very satisfied. All meat served here "Halal meat. And prices very reasonable for the portion. And very friendly family run the establishment. Give them a try if in the area.🐑🐄🍛🍴🐔🍤🐟

Employees arguing in the back, cashier had a hard time understanding English. Food was decent but lamb was bad quality.. many pieces were very rough and could not be chewed through. Charged for water (no option for tap water) when I ended up bringing my own water from my car. Salad and rice was fine. But really would not recommend to anyone.

SHOW UP AT 11:30 AM. Some times they aren’t ready to open at the 11AM stated time. Other than that, their food is delicious and very filling ; you get a lot of food. The lamb shawarma was seasoned perfectly and their hummus and tzatziki sauce was refreshing ! The owner is also super accommodating he fried another customer’s falafel in new oil in order to meet their dietary restrictions. Super kind of him !

I was in town for business and decided to grab some Greek food. I've never been to this restaurant before but I'm glad I went. I ordered a gyro a Greek salad and some fries. The dressing for the salad was a little bit different then a typical Greek salad dressing. More of a creamy dressing. It was delicious!! I was at the restaurant later in the day and the lettuce was still extremely fresh and crisp! The gyro meat was perhaps a little bit dry but still tasty. Rice came with my order but I didn't really want any but I had a bite and it was actually good too and I'm not really a rice fan. Anyways I would highly recommend this place and the food was delicious! Make sure you get something to put the salad dressing on I really liked it.
